By the way, it's hard to determine which character you are are referring to when you say dysfunctional. They're all dysfunctional, which is exactly why so many of us are obsessed with the show.

for some reason, he is sexually dysfunctional (dr. alex karev) played by justin chambers. in reality, he obviously isn't, i read on grey's anatomy's website that he has 5 children. i think he's kind of cute.

The season premier was great. They didn't lose any steam at all over the break.

If you haven't watched it, you might not want to continue reading. I don't think i divulge anything they haven't shown in the previews, but some people prefer a warning/spoiler. So...you've been warned.

Miranda's reaction when they took Denny's body away was surprising yet touching, and Izzy's big speech from the bathroom floor was incredible...i could identify with every word she uttered about how when someone you love dies everyone goes in fast-forward while you're stuck in slow motion and how you go through the motions to make everyone think you're okay, when really, you're not. when she said she didn't know how to be "that person" i suddenly felt a lot of relief. someone finally spoke out loud the words i couldn't find for how i've felt for the past 5 and a half months.

god i love this show.

OHOHOH and they played a remake of the incredible song (most people know from Donnie Darko that i've loved since it came out in the 80s) Under The Milky Way by The Church. I know a lot of people find the music on GA too emo, but i love it.

Gahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I missed it! I'm living in residence at university this year, and I assumed that the show would be on at 9 like it's been advertised. I went into the TV room at 5 to 9 and there were a ton of people already in there. I looked at the screen and it was just ending. I don't know how, but they had all just finished watching it at 8. I couldn't believe it, this is the only show I actually watch and somehow I missed the premiere?

They have a recap on before the premier....could that be it??

this is the most amazing show ever i haven't yet watched the season premier...but i sooooo will later on "today"!!!! this is not you're every day "medical" drama.....i LOVE it!!!

he told meredith that he loves her, said said she has a choice to make. told her that he once had a choice to make and he chose wrong.

(she looked all pained.... i don't understand how it's much of a choice after she'd been pining away for mcdreamy forever and isn't really all that committed to fin yet, but anyhoo...)

Thank you for that! my roomate chose that exact moment to air her boyfriend problems. this show kills me. I normally hate Izzy but i really liked her lastn ight. she broke my heart. i think everyone can relate to her even if they havent had someone close to them die. anything that you see a future with and all of a sudden its gone. i normally dont like her acting abilities either but my god last night i believed every word

I dont know how i feel about this whole mcdreamy thing. is it just me or do you just not care so much. maybe its just me and i dont like meredith... but seriously its boring. i mean you have 2 hot guys.. one who has dicked you over and pretty much broke you into a million pieces... or a guy who you have a fresh start with and is really sweet. how come this doesnt happen in real life? you go and screw your married ex boyfriend and your current beau still wants you... what the hell is that?

but all in all a good start. im liking the flashbacks... i wonder if that will be used more often

yeah, it was pretty unrealistic that fin was ok with her sneaking off to hook up with mcdreamy. i was a little annoyed at that, too. mcdreamy was kind of more of a dick last night, too...first when he threw addison out in the rain, then being cocky in the bar flashback and with george... maybe they were trying to make him less likeable so that it seemed like more of a real decision for meredith...

i love this show. and i agree izzy was really good last night. it was heartbreaking. :(

i dont know what they are trying to do with Mcdreamy. in some ways they try to make you feel bad for him and in other ways they try to make you hate him. i mean anyone can see that him and addison were not going to make it. and i know she cheated on him but it sort of hurt watching that last night. imagine trying to start new with someone who was completely in love with someone else. just goes to show you we settle on what we know because we are too lazy/scared to find something else. i just dont get the attraction to meredith. she cries, complains, is a blubbering mess with deep emotional problems yet men are going to fight over her. dont get it at all.

WHen she was thinking about being with him(mcdreamy) she flashed back on her mom being a mistress...I can imagine she doesn't want that role. He didn't actually say he was getting a divorce...I would wait for that first. Plus, she thinks Fin is good for her, so it's not weird that she may feel it's a difficult decision.....d*mn. Why do I get sucked in????

Well, consider me officially sucked in. I waited to watch season 2 for the dvds, i rented the first few then said screw it and bought it and watched nonstop so i could start watching 3!!!

And no, I'd still take Mcdreamy over George. I can't stand whiners!!!!!!!
