I'm a teacher, so not me!! My Mom does, as does my brother, a cop, who also worked on Christmas Eve and Day (he was lucky not be scheduled on Christmas, but he took the shifts of a guy who had kids ... )

Ha, well I don't feel so bad then, as I work Monday too...9am-7pm. And Tuesday. I work at a dog boarding facility, so while everyone else plays...we are hard at work. Dogs don't care that you have a hangover, they want their breakfast regardless

Yep, I volunteer at an animal shelter and people are always amazed that the employees are at work 365 days a year. I don't understand. The animals need food and cleaning, what part of that don't you understand?

I don't, but only because my store closes at 6 and I never start a weekday shift until then...so I got lucky! But I have worked it in the past, and it's always one of those days where you are just dying to get out of work all day.

Moi. I'll be teaching 2 aerobic classes, and doing officework for my business. I don't care. The 'holidays' are not my holidays. Summer, music festivals and shows are my 'holidays', so I work during the conventional 'holidays' instead.

Hogmanay is Scotland's holiday.. we get the 1st and 2nd off as stat days... this is because companies and the govt knew no-one would ever turn up on the 2nd of Jan due to still being hammered from the previous 2 days.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
