has anyone become a fan of goji berries?

    curious...
  • to whomever mentioned berries!

I drink a whey protein smoothie w/ berries and yogurt every morning. I swear it has made me feel 110% more energy.

1/4 cup plain nofat organic yogurt
    1 banana
    3tbs of whey protein
    1/4 c. skim milk
    1 tb honey
1/2 c. berries (blueberries and strawberries are my favorite)

Love it! And it's really helped me gain lean muscle, I swear!

I like Odwalla superfood (the green algae drink) - I do feel energized when I drink it, and it is full of antioxidants. Doesn't taste bad despite the stuff in it.

True, just don't overdue 'em. While they do have good fats, oils and nutrients, they also have a tremendous amount of calories, sodium...depending on the kind of seeds you munch, and while "good fat"...there is still a large amount of fat in them. Even good fats in large quantities can be bad.

I do love me some pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Mmmmm!

Citrus juice, vitamin C give staying power to green tea antioxidants

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Mario Ferruzzi

To get more out of your next cup of tea, just add juice.
A study found that citrus juices enable more of green tea's unique antioxidants to remain after simulated digestion, making the pairing even healthier than previously thought.

The study compared the effect of various beverage additives on catechins, naturally occurring antioxidants found in tea. Results suggest that complementing green tea with either citrus juices or vitamin C likely increases the amount of catechins available for the body to absorb.

That's pretty cool, I had no idea, I mean granny always told me to add some to my tea...said it was good. Now I know why.
