i didn't think being down on st. patty's and insulting was a belief, but so be it.
i am not trying to abuse you, believe me. i just call things as i see it.
and you could do whatever you like, i wouldn't give a shite. PLENTY of people comment about my smilies, my long posts, whatever........that's THEIR problem, not mine. as mentioned, no one HAS to read my posts....and if they do, and they make positive or negative comments, more power to em. to me, this board is about discussion. so, i discuss.
always feel free to skip. my feelings would not be hurt. but i absoultey will chime in on any/all topics i see fit.
anyhooooooo...i enjoy many different traditional music/customs of various cultures. it's cool, even if it really isn't my thing, i still enjoy em all to some degree.....

"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."
-my dad after hearing Not for You for the first time on SNL .
i had to lower the tv after 2 hours of this parade ,, very annoying
being on 46th and 5th - has not stopped all day. my itunes doesn't blur it out either...my boss even said he's embarassed to answer the phone b/c people will think he is in a bar!!! lol....it is right outside his window.
but i do think bagpipes are one of the most melancholy sounds on earth.
they are, it's moving to hear them actually, at least for me. my dad loves them so we always hit up the highlander festivals in town during the summer. the main one has 800 bagpipers play at the closing ceremony....hearing them all play 'amazing grace' can bring you to tears.
i love experiencing and learning about different cultures, variety is what this country is made of anyway
being scottish, and musically aware, I fucking love the sound of bagpipes and feel sorry for all those who don't.
