I thought Hillary's speech was quite good.

It did what the Dems needed to unify...she made some strong arguments for that, asking her supporters if they were in it just for her or for all those americans that need help.

She also presented it very well.

One glaring ommision was the fact that while she did say they should vote for Obama because he will tacle the issues she feels important, she never once said that he woudl make a great president, etc...only that he would be better than McCain. A small issue for sure, but still something there.

As far as the "No way, No how, No McCain"...why si everyone so in love with that? You'd think she just came up with the biggest phrase ever, in reality, it's pretty simple and not very clever. The "Twin Cities" comment, on the other hand was extremely clever and very effective.

Can we stop putting the camera on her slimball of a husband please???? His biggest smile came when she was talking about his presidency...then she quickly transitioned to President Obama...and you could see that Bill was no longer as happy...he's an egomaniac for sure.

Long story short...good speech, helped the Dems and helped Obama.

Good analysis... I also don't get the big deal about the No way, No how, No McCain" line. It doesn't even make a good soundbyte. But I too, did like the Twin Cities line.

It's funny that the McCain camp is going after her not outright saying that Obama is ready. While she didn't technically say those words, she basically implied talking about him being the right candidate, right direction, etc.

Talk about having low standards and expectations. ;)

I have to add...I am extremely impressed at her composure and ability to even be on that stage, by herself (even for a short time), with a mic. That was impressive. A very composed young lady.

Talks peace, votes war. That's Hillary.

She voted for the right of the office of the President of the United States to wage war if necessary. I would have voted for that too. That is not a vote for war.

I thought she did a great job :) . Did anyone else notice that O'bama's wife didn't smile of really clap until Hillary mentioned him in her speech  ??

considering the camera wasn't on Michelle 100% of the time and you weren't there, this is an astute observation.

We all knew Bush was an Idiot and that any war plans would be bad, I mean what need for war? It's not like they were doing a great job in afghanistan.

So Hillary voting for the right, is = to giving a blind, satanic, drugged up nutcase a machine gun in a public place.

Then when he fires it up and kills everyone around him, the person who gave the gun is like "It aint my fault, I just supplied the nutcase with the gun and bullets"

So abu, you trusted bush, didnt know you believed in him so much to do the right thing.

Any doubt who Hillary Clinton thinks should be the next president?

    She was remarkable.

There is doubt in my mind considering she was running for President and threw Barack Obama under the bus with television ads, speeches, and lies behind his back.

Everything about this robot of a woman makes me sick to my stomach. I don't understand what people see in her. She's faker than Michael Jackson's nose.

I know a lot of people would love to see a woman be president of this country-- old white guys have been destroying it long enough. But seriously, patience! You really want the first woman president to be HER? She'll blow it for any other woman running for that position ever again if she ever gets elected. Why? Most of the country will hate her for either her (as I would predict) lackluster job in the position, or simply who or what she is-- something different, not an old white guy. Obama has the same problem. Say either one of them proves me wrong and they actually help turn this country around-- they have to still exceed everyone's expectations, because let's face it, they are an experiment. There's too many morons in this country who aren't ready for our president to be "black" (I use this term lightly for Obama), or a woman. Do I agree with this? NO. Let's just say people like Barack or Hillary have a lot to prove, as they will pretty much be an "experiment," sad but true.

Bottomline, if you have any hope of a president breaking the mold of greedy old white man, I don't think you will find your answer in either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

That being said, I can't stand John McCain either-- unless the man is playing some sort of prank on everyone, and is telling all the morons of this country what they want to hear-- then on inauguration day, the old McCain shows up. Fat chance, I say. He's sold his soul, and is content being a douchebag.

It's third party all the way for me. I live in NY. Barack has my state locked up already... No need for me to choose between the lesser of 2 evils, and I'd urge everyone in my position to do the same-- take this opportunity to make a 3rd party look stronger, it's the only real CHOICE you have these days.

    Thank you!

I heard the "...No McCain" line last night, then heard the crowd erupt in voracious laughter and applause, and then watched her sit back and smile as though she were a modern day Mark Twain.

And all I could think was, "Am I missing something? Is there a pop-culture reference I'm not aware of? What the hell?"

Hillary Clinton gave an electrifying speech, proving that although she seeks to win any content she gets into, she has no overweening ambition to spoil things for others if things don't work out for her just as she had envisioned. She is a true uniter. She is more interested in what is right for the country than on achieving a personal ambition. No also-ran has ever done as much to support an opponent to win an office she has been denied. She has emerged as one of the most important and influential political figures in American politics--one that Obama has relied upon and will continue to rely upon to be an opinion-leader for the Democrats. He owes her a debt of gratitude. She is an amazing woman, politician, and American. I am very proud to have supported her candidacy and am even prouder to look at how she has handled herself in the face of defeat. She is not a quitter, and she is not a spoiler. She's a tremendous example to us all on how it's done with class when the chips are down. It's not all about Hillary...it's all about the Democrats--and, in reality, it's all about the country. In the fall, Obama will get my vote, however, I must say, Hillary has my heart.

seriously.. I don't know why anyone would listen to what any POLITICIAN has to say. Isn't Politician a euphemism for 'Professional Lying Sack of Shit'?

no, I never trusted Bush, and I am sure neither did Hilary. However, as a nation, we can not bind our president from making national security decisions. Sadly there are so many other problems, we are not able to get good people in office.

not sure the answer is to bind the office of the president...
