Any doubt who Hillary Clinton thinks should be the next president?

She was remarkable.

  • I thought her speech was pretty awesome. She did a great job.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too.

I don't think you could have expected that speech from someone who lost the race by that close of a margin. It was monumental. She reminded her voters that they were not just voting for her but a fundamental. It is sad that Obama did not have the confidence in himself to choose her for the veep. She will replace Ted Kennedy as the face of the democratic party.

  • i'm just wondering when the fuck she's going to get back to ny and work. i mean, she was in the state friday......sucking down sausages at the state fair. i have no idea what else she did while in the state. but that's all that made the news. "Hillary at the fair, enjoying a sausage sandwich" BFD.

A perfectly crafted speech delivered to perfection - definitely one for the ages. Got goosebumps watching her. Obama is going to have to reach deep to top that! Well done!!!!

Oh Kurt. Sausage sandwiches are delicious. You can't fault her for that. ;)

Greg and I were talking tonight about how, if someone is running for president, they should really resign from their office. It seems inappropriate to have them campaigning and effectively ignoring the duties of their office...

I think she nailed it. And she really has my total respect for that speech. What a classy lady.

I think we can't live in the past and "what if". I can't tell if you're "concern trolling" here, but I really don't think that Obama chosing Biden has anything to do with his confidence level in her. With her on the ticket, the Republicans would have been foaming at the mouths at the chance to rip into an Obama/Clinton ticket. It would have solidified the Republican base and motivated them way more than they are now. I also heard that she refused to provide necessary information for the vetting process.

I think that with her remaining in the Senate the party will be much better and quite possibly actually get some shit done for a change.

    It's all a dog-and-pony show anyway. :D
  • Great Speech!!!!!

I loved the Twin Cities remark about GWB and McCain.....

  • Great speech. Exactly what she needed to do to hopefully get her supporters more fully behind Obama.

Finally something good,(the rest of this convention has sucked ass) the speech was great. If she had that kind of the energy during the campaign, she would be in the drivers seat right now...

she could've been a great choice as obama's running mate.

is there an instance in history wherein the losing party candidate was chosen by the party's standard bearer as their running mate?

I thought it was a great speech. Tonight and tomorrow evening should be very entertaining. I can't wait for Obama to take the stage to shut up all the naysayers.

If I understand your question correctly, JFK selected LBJ.

I thought Hillary's speech was quite good.

It did what the Dems needed to unify...she made some strong arguments for that, asking her supporters if they were in it just for her or for all those americans that need help.

She also presented it very well.

One glaring ommision was the fact that while she did say they should vote for Obama because he will tacle the issues she feels important, she never once said that he woudl make a great president, etc...only that he would be better than McCain. A small issue for sure, but still something there.

As far as the "No way, No how, No McCain"...why si everyone so in love with that? You'd think she just came up with the biggest phrase ever, in reality, it's pretty simple and not very clever. The "Twin Cities" comment, on the other hand was extremely clever and very effective.

Can we stop putting the camera on her slimball of a husband please???? His biggest smile came when she was talking about his presidency...then she quickly transitioned to President Obama...and you could see that Bill was no longer as happy...he's an egomaniac for sure.

Long story short...good speech, helped the Dems and helped Obama.

Good analysis... I also don't get the big deal about the No way, No how, No McCain" line. It doesn't even make a good soundbyte. But I too, did like the Twin Cities line.

It's funny that the McCain camp is going after her not outright saying that Obama is ready. While she didn't technically say those words, she basically implied talking about him being the right candidate, right direction, etc.

Talk about having low standards and expectations. ;)

I have to add...I am extremely impressed at her composure and ability to even be on that stage, by herself (even for a short time), with a mic. That was impressive. A very composed young lady.

She voted for the right of the office of the President of the United States to wage war if necessary. I would have voted for that too. That is not a vote for war.

considering the camera wasn't on Michelle 100% of the time and you weren't there, this is an astute observation.

We all knew Bush was an Idiot and that any war plans would be bad, I mean what need for war? It's not like they were doing a great job in afghanistan.

So Hillary voting for the right, is = to giving a blind, satanic, drugged up nutcase a machine gun in a public place.

Then when he fires it up and kills everyone around him, the person who gave the gun is like "It aint my fault, I just supplied the nutcase with the gun and bullets"

So abu, you trusted bush, didnt know you believed in him so much to do the right thing.

There is doubt in my mind considering she was running for President and threw Barack Obama under the bus with television ads, speeches, and lies behind his back.
