I took advantage of early voting here in NC and voted Saturday. It took me longer to fill out the ballot than to wait. Although, when I left, a line had formed and was stretched down the hall. The news showed people waiting on line for hours in some places though.

It took me about 40 seconds or so? LOL

My home voting location is about an hour North of Harrisburg, PA, so i drove up there, waltzed in (since I was the only person there) signed in, voted, got my sticker and waltzed out.

FYI the population of the town I'm originally from is about 200, with about 80% over the age of 50.

Hoorah for exercising my right to vote!

EDIT: I'd also like to add that from reading on here and on news websites, people waiting for hours to vote makes me feel good to be an American. Wait all god damn day if you have to, to have your voice heard

(i said 15 mins before because they moved me to the front...i'm disabled)
i drove around town and saw long lines and wondered why the the line where i voted was so short.

Maybe 15 minutes for me. I went after work, around 2:30 pm. There were a few people there, but I didn't have to wait.

No more than 15 minutes for the total experience....it all depended on where one's last name fell in the alphabet......the L-S line was no waiting.

  • I was in and out in 3 minutes

  • all in all, i was gone for approximately 10 minutes.

that includes the drive to the polling station, the vote itself, and the drive back. couldn't have timed it any better.
  • My wife and I were in and out in less than 5 minutes. East Lyme CT.
  • It took about 30 minutes for me. It wasn't too bad of a wait since I had some Pokemon with to keep me company.

amazingly, this was just about my experience as well. i was a bit worried about it given how long some seemed to wait. in the past i've waited up to 20 minutes, but more elecions than not, under 5. so this election was no exception. i'd say it took me about 5 minutes total though b/c it took them time to find my name...and my husbad and i voted together...so had to wait for him. :p we got off our train about 7PM...walked to our local polling place...voted and home before 7:30, dogs awaiting dinner and their walk.

and i live in a 'small' community....on long island, so really....not that small. :)
