Share your location, too, if you wish. It took me 2 hours in Richmond, VA.

See other thread with poll. I apologize for the double posting.

    5 minutes - Philly.
  • A buddy of mine in Ohio didn't get too vote this morning because of the wait... He waited 45 minutes and hand to leave to get to work on time.

I don't understand what takes so long in some places. I vote in a rural area, so there has never been a wait, but the process takes less than 5 minutes to check in and vote.

10 minutes of driving out of my way to work and 5 minutes to vote. My precinct is fairly rural, though.

When you go to vote , you are not only voting for the president , but other official positions as well. you can pick and choose whom you wish to vote for by selecting their name on a touch screen . Only the presidential candidates have running mates , however. If you are voting for Mccain you are also voting for Sarah Palin for VP. If you are voting for Obama, you are voting for Joe Biden for VP. does that help at all?/

Columbus, Ohio took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes (not counting driving there)! Work knew I would be late so I just waited.

I voted in Johns Creek Georgia which is a suburb of Atlanta. I was there at 7am and i was done at 8:45.

By the time i was done though the line was about 50% shorter then when i got in it. Next time i'll go around 10am in hopes of a shorter wait.

  • It took me about 6 minutes, starting from the time I walked out my door until I pushed the button to cast my vote. My polling place was the school directly behind my house, and there was no line.

I have to say, it felt weird doing the electronic ballot for the first time. It was easy as hell, but it makes me nervous. I like punching the little holes. It feels more "real", lol.

I have an absentee ballot. Filling it out took awhile, but dropping it in the ballot box took less than a second. :p
