Well that's the thing - he doesn't even realize the contradiction. What's always been so scary about him, is he truly thinks he's doing the right thing, and the others are the bad guys, and he isn't 'bullying and intimidating'.

It would make more sense... Russia reverting back to it's Soviet Union ways... if we hadn't adopted the old Soviet Union ways of our own.
In that case, I would probably agree with him.
Otherwise... he just needs to either shut the hell up or praise them for doing what's best for them... regardless of what others have to say.

So you think the people of Iraq are better off now?

P.S. China would Fuck the U.S. over in any kind of war and G.W. Bush knows it. And we know he's a chicken shit. Pick on someone your own size you fucking pussy.

If you mean right this very second ... yes, I believe they are. Maybe that wasn't the case six months ago, and maybe that doesn't justify the invasion.

But if I'm answering your question honestly ... yes, I believe the people of Iraq are better off in a democracy than in a dictatorship.

um ... OK ... I'm not sure what this has to do with this thread, but thank you for your input.

Um ... OK ... so you're advocating a full-scale war with China now? Your response to this thread is kind of all over the place.

Do you really think Iraq is not improving? Or do you simply just not think?

Actually China and Sudan have quite a bit of oil, almost as much as us combined. There are those pesky fact things again though.

China would whip us though huh? Thanks for your patriotism and opinion, no matter how useless it is.

So why is it so imperative to invade Iraq? Because they may have had WMD's? We know for a fact that China and North Korea have WMD's so why no quick invasion of those countries? They are clearly a threat. It's because Bush and Cheney are chicken shit bullys. That's another pesky fact for you.

And I think Iraq may possibly be better off in the long run without Saddam, but I for one am not willing to sacrifice 4000 American soldiers to help out every country that has a shitty dictator. I guess you would though eh? Thanks a lot Mr. Patriotic. Or is it Mr. Idiotic?

Technically, yes... As much of a bastard as Saddam was, the idea of preemptively invading and occupying another sovereign country, is pretty much at the pinnacle of bullying and intimidation.

We've ALWAYS pick on the weak ones (nation/countries) for years. Everyone should check out the book by John Perkins....Confessions of an Economic Hit Man: How the U.S. Uses Globalization to Cheat Poor Countries Out of Trillions and you'll clearly get a better picture of how much of a bully the US has been and STILL is to this day.

I didn't answer it because I've said it before. I don't support going into Iraq. I'm not a Bush fan, get over yourselves. It would also take a gun to my head with the choice live or die to get me to vote for Obama. Obama is not going to blowout McCain as much as you dreamers think.

    Did that clear it up?

    Whoa..Settle petal.

    1. I never said you supported going to iraq.
    2. I never said you were a bush fan.
    3. I don't need to get over myself.
    4. The gun comment was perhaps a little over the top no? You don't wanna vote for him? Don't. No guns required. Just freedom of choice. I don't care either way.
    5. I never said obama is going to blow out mccain. So your 'you dreamers' comment is kinda wasted on me.

No I think the proper response it to get out and do something about it, not complain about it on a Pearl Jam message board.

Ok, fair enough, I'll take back the dreamers comment pertaining to you. It stands for the majority here though. The gun comment was to stress how much I disagree with his proposed policies, as a resident of Illinois I've had it with his politics and numerous others in this state. I actually think this state rivals California on how screwed up it is.

The Bush thing is because I'm against Obama people think I'm for McCain and therefore Bush. Plus even though I didn't want to go into Iraq I don't think we can just up and leave now, no matter what the reasons were for going in. I'm not blind to see that Iraq is improving, the surge did work, and in the end it may have been the best thing to happen to them. It is a shame that so many people had to die for it to happen.

Calling out peoples patriotisim has become a common theme in your posts. Turning a blind eye to the attrocities that your country commits is the least patriotic thing you can do. Does that sink in at all? The Nazi's were uber patriotic; something you can strive for.

On topic: I was listening to Rice trying to call out Russia and it just blew me away that she has the audacity to even talk on the subject after our actions in Iraq. The world is laughing at us.
