if John Tory didn't bring up religion in schools - he could very well be premier here ...

this is the thing in canada - there is only one Right Wing party ... the people that vote conservative will ALWAYS vote that way ... ie Alberta will always vote conservative ...

there are maybe only a few ridings that are swing ridings ... and i think people in quebec do not like dion ...

concerning John Tory, your right about religion in schools but lets face it religion has always been a main stay of conservative governments him saying that just reminded peopel that he is a conservative.

some may say that there are 2 right wing parties (liberals) i don't have a problem that alberta will always vote conservative as long as teh rest of teh provices don't. i think teh east coast is gone for harper since he screwed them, i think ontario will vote liberal agian as they might be afraid of a conservative government.

there are only a few swing type ridings in Ontario - the 905 will always vote conservative for the most part ... ultimately tho - it will depend on Quebec ... in any case - i think the cons have a good base to work with ...

you wrote the answer in your post when you said that "if you talk about the same thing everyday for 2 years no one is going to care (especially if it is something about their political platform)" i understand that people might not be happy with what they are getting from say CNN or other news agencies but then they are going to have to realize that if they want 24 hour news coverage than they must be prepared for getting stories that don't matter. i never heard one person complain that they don't want 24 hour news coverage.

Really you have never heard any complaints that the 24 hour news networks are like 1 hour of news and 23 hours worth of filler (usually because there is not enough fresh news to keep them running)? I have heard that complaint tons of times.

sorry maybe i didn't make it clear, i think peopel have to realize that if they want 24 hour news then they have to settle for alot of crap. some people want it all, i want 24 hoiur news that is alwasy new and not filler, that is not possible. people have to decide do we want stories abotu what matters but only for say 5 hours a day or do we want 24 hour news reports.
