What do you think all those armed Shi'ites in Iraq would do. You think they hate us now. Their hatred for us would multiply a thousand fold if Israel attacked Iran and we supported them. Our troops would be in even more danger than they are now.

Isnt this how this whole Irak thing got started way back in the 80's?

i doubt they can hate us any more than they do now. They already know we support Israel and hate Iran. Plus Iran would probably be to busy fighting Israelis to fully support the insurgency in Iraq.

this is sounding more and more likely the more i think about it.

I remember it being immediate support. Remember, the Iranian Hostage Situation occurred in November of 1979. The U.S. had naval forces in the Persian Gulf, Iran had planted mines near the Straits of Hormuz... Ayatollah Khomeini was the greatest threat (after the Soviet Union). The U.S. supported the secular Hussein, rather than the radical fundamentalists of Iran. The problem we ran into was the Soviet Union was also supplying Iraq with conventional weapons. We provided intelligence and recon in the beginning and chemical weapons and artillery in the coming years.

yeah i think thats right. actual weapons werent sent until 82, two years after the war started, once it became clear Iraq would lose (i was wrong about them not getting there until 84).

We HATED Iran. That's why it cracks me up when I hear numbnut assholes crying, "But Saddam Hussein used CHEMICAL WEAPONS" as justification for invading Iraq in this go 'round. Yeah... he used them... on IRAN... as Americans cheered. "Fuck Iran" was the battle cry of the Reagan 1980s. So, to those numbnut assholes... I'm looking at you, Bill O'Fucking-Reilly... don't twist history to fit your bullshit opinions.

I have NONE, I have no fear of this administration some concerns, yes. They're going to do what they feel they must do. Bombing Iran is fore gone conclusion and many Americans believe it's the right thing to do.

They say only nuclear reactor sites will be bombed as if innocent lives again won't be lost. This will also turn into a mess for the next administration to clean up.

Will they get anything right before they leave, can they fix any social problems of America or for that matter do they even really care?

No, actually if you take the Bible as history, which I do, then the whole thing started when Abraham went to bed with his wife's handmaiden, (per her request) to have the child God promised (Ishmal) but then got jealous after she had Isaac and sent Ishmal and his mother away.......that is the belief on the hate between all of them; the Bible says that this hate will cause a lot of bloodshead and discord..........

But you know, first Eve, then Sara??????shit why do we women screw up everything??????????

It is what I wrote, I have no fears of what Bush is going to do. He's going to do what he wants to do and cares not what the citizenry thinks or feels. As many here already know I am clearly NOT a Bush fan or voter or ANYTHING pro BUSH.

To me he's a warmongering, warprofiteering baffoon. He's put this country in a huge debt, belittled some of our rights (Habeaus Corpus) you or I could be arrested as an enemy combatant, jailed and never have a right to an attorney. He has continued this nonsense of this War On Terror to keep citizens in fear, destroyed US credibility around the world with this invasion/occupation in Iraq and now he's poised proudly with his setup for war in IRAN.

What's worse Americans are buying it all over again as to why the US must take out Iran. When will America wake the fuck up....now do you get the picture as to where I stand on Mr Bush.

As for Hilary Clinton I wouldn't give her my vote if she decided to planted her big ass in my lap and lapped danced me there. My vote will only, only go towards Dennis Kuncinich or possibly Ron Paul...THAT"S IT!

So war's a charm, right? Or is it just a big game to someone sitting in on their arse in peace on their couch?

I wonder if you'd regard war as a charm if you experienced your own family being maimed and killed?
But I suppose some people are incapable of seeing things from the perspective of the other side. Hollywood and the mainstream media has done a great job of making a great many people de-sensitized to the effects of wars which happen overseas. Perhaps this is why we hear people talking about the deaths of over a million Iraqi men, women and children as though it's nothing but an arcade video game.

You've hit the nail on the head here.

We've been desensitized big time and clips like this has been kept away from the American public F-16 is a Homicide Bomber. In the clip no check to see if these were enemy or innocent citizens, turns out they weren't the enemy. Then checkout his reaction after taking out 40 people....OH DUDE!

So these wars are still what your looking for?

Israel's official policy is that it will not be the first nation to introduce nuclear weapons into the Middle East. In contrast to the coy hinting of some undeclared weapon's states, Israel thus actively denies possessing nuclear weapons. Its obvious capability in this regard has thus established de facto deterrence, while minimizing (but not eliminating) domestic and international controversy.

Deterrence, it keeps certain groups of crazed Jew hating peoples from launching an all out war against Israel like the one in 1948.

It denies possessing nuclear weapons, and is therefore in breach of international law and so should be brought to account. It is acting like a rogue state and so has no business criticizing Iran.

Nobody attacked Israel in 1948. That's a myth. Israel was the one doing the attacking.
