Huckabee does seem to be picking up a lot of steam. I would probably never vote for him, even though he is a strong supporter of the Fair Tax, but he is definitely a better choice than Guiliani, Romney, or Hillary.

  • Is anti-abortion, is pro-death penalty, is a creationist, supports the war in Iraq, and shows little signs that he has any handle on sound economic policy. Isn't he already in office?

Is African-American Jim his running mate?

He stands for funding anti-abortion education on the federal level and eliminating federal funding for facilities that perform abortions, all the while professing that the abortion decisions should be made at the state level. That makes him objectively contradictory and, in my opinion, an idiot.

He says that he's "pro-life" and that he's "not going to be reticent about supporting laws that would help us to preserve human life", yet he loves the death penalty and seems to really dig killing Arabs. Again, objectively contradictory and, in my opinion, quite foolish.

Huckabee has stated that he wants creationism taught in schools and that he "does not necessarily buy into the traditional Darwinian theory". This is at least not necessarily contradictory, but again seems to be slightly moronic.

Finally, Huckabee is a tax-raiser and wanton spender, if his tenure in Arkansas is any indication.

No, I'm not. I didn't like Clinton and I don't like Bush. Combining them into one super-candidate doesn't strike me as a very good idea.

I just don't like his name. Although Obama-Huckabee would be a close one.

There's nothing wrong with saying that abortion is a state issue and then implementing federal programs to stop it?

There's nothing wrong with killing Arabs?

There's nothing wrong with supporting failed and destructive foreign policy?

There's nothing wrong with pontificating about the sacred nature of life while you wantonly kill criminals and support warmaking?

There's nothing wrong with critizing Darwinism based on evidentiary concerns and then proclaiming your belief in a force that cannot be backed with any evidence or logic as the creator of all life?

    Help me out here....
    except for the taxes thing

Hehe...how do you expect Mike Huckabee to continue to fight his war against Arabs, abortionists, and Darwinists without plenty of taxation?

he wouldn't have to tax to fight all those things....that unknown force called God would provide :)

Wow...and you sound just like one of them.

Hehe...you cannot elect away a contradiction. It will remain a contradiction no matter how many people support it.

Tell me, if 51% of America voted to string you up on the nearest tree branch, would you believe in the infallibility of the electoral process at the point? Or might you believe in something deeper than public opinion?
you believe what you do, i believe what i do.

Ok. Don't get an abortion. Teach your kids that God created everything. Go shoot some Arabs or pay someone to do it for you. Execute your favorite rapist. But please don't try to sell some live-and-let-live bullshit while attempting to elect someone who will mandate a single system of morality on everyone.

    Good luck with that.

So because someone believes in the story of Genosis over evolution we should exterminate them?

I personally don't care is someone believes that our world was created and populated by aliens. Everyone has a right to their beliefs just as long as they don't try to shove that belief down my throat.

Not all of them. I'm sure that there are plenty that do but at the sametime there are those who have their belief but do not wish to force it on all. I also have no objection to it being taught at school as long as it is an elective. If some school district wants to teach both evolution and creationism and let the students decide which one they want to take so be it.

I thought this was pretty funny.

I have to say, though, FFG was absolutely brilliant on this topic, hence, the gratitude of this bump.

You might try demonstrating it in your posts. It's not apparent.

LOL...I killed precisely zero babies and burned exactly zero churches today. That makes zero and zero, respectively, over my entire lifetime.

Mike Huckabee, on the other hand, has played an important role in killing babies and burning churches through his continued support of American endeavors in Iraq and Afghanistan.
