    yep. they are disintegrating by the day. and this has a snowball effect when moderates or undecideds see these zealots and dont want to be associated with it. i almost feel sorry for McCain. the conservatives press is gonna put this loss all on him, and deflect the fact that its really GEORGE W BUSH's fault all the way.

    I lost respect for him when he reversed his opinion on Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson and decided that he no longer believed them to be agents of intolerance. That was the beginning of the end.

    There was a time when McCain was the one Republican I respected more than any others. He ran a hell of a campaign in 2000 and it's a shame that ended how it did. But the guy has totally lost his way in the last 6 months. He's not being himself and it's becoming obvious. He's the very definition of a sellout. I don't think he ever really wanted Palin, I believe the far right pushed her on him and he wasn't smart enough to say no. At least this clip shows us a little of the old McCain.

    I really wonder what the next chapter in her political career will be, assuming she and McCain don't win in November. Will she continue to be this rising star? I imagine that her fans will make excuse after excuse for this abuse of power thing. But I just wonder if she will be passed over for another fad sooner or later.

    I still believe she will be on Dancing with the Stars someday.

    That interviewer is lucky that he didn't get attacked and kept his cool. I betcha if you spoke to these people individually away from friends, co-workers and family they wouldn't speak or act not so charged against Obama.

    They may still not like or vote for him but their tone might be quite different.
