That's a good point. It's something for me to have a think about.
I have much respect for (most) of the people I know that work in politics, though.
Would I want to be one? No.
Something happens to people with the potential to be good politicians when they get together with all the other politicians.

Seconded, because "everyone" will never be happy, you just have to make the best decisions for them.
I see politicians as more of deal-makers than leaders. But I would make such radical changes to this society, I'd be booted out in my first term. lol

I saw the poitricks thing you wrote. I know I personally couldn't do it but maybe politicians become more corrupt as they move further up the line. They say money corrupts. The people that are lesser known don't get payed very much so where does it all go wrong if their intentions are only good? They don't all start off bad. What makes them change, if they do at all?
Isn't like running with the bad crowd in High School?
The more you are exposed to corruption and "politicking" the more it rubs off?
