If any organizator makes a plan for a concert in Turkey and request them, I dont thing that PJ says no if the calender availables. but first of all, we guys PJ fans in Turkey have to be together first. I thing we are the only country does not exist any PJ fan web site to be organized.

    armenian genocide and honour killings.
you have to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!

more turks were killed by armenians in those days
have you heard about that too?
    of course not
ı really want you to think that

all those years armanians and turks had lived together in peace since some countries started to incited them to betray(they started to attack turkish villages and killed lots of people even little children-there are proofs but europian countries don't even bother to examine it in detail-)
As a result of their behaviours Turks made them move just for a while THEY DİDN'T KILL THEM!!!!!! after the bad conditions they were sent where they lived, but some of them didn't want to come back and now they want us to admit that we had killed them. it;'s ridiculous
according to them 2 millions or armenian were killed but 2 millions of armenian had never even lived in türkiye? can anyone explain me how we could kill the people who didn't even exist?

Maybe they just don't have a major market in turkey? I mean they (pearl jam) are a business. If they see potential in a country they'll probably play it one day. But that's just a guess.

I don't know how popular they are in Turkey, but if the sales are strong enough, I think maybe they'll tour it. I mean it took Pearl Jam years until they played Brasil.

Don't make me laugh. All people that say these words have no idea about Jeff Ament's relations with Turkiye and "Three Fish". Have you ever heard that Jeff had been to Turkiye before Pearl Jam concert in 96? Just take a look at "Laced" video of Three Fish and tell me what you see.

It's nonsense that they have political problems with Turkiye! The most logical reason must be something about organization. There are lots of Jammer stuck on waiting espacially to see in Turkiye...

whatever went on in the past, there are pearl jam fans in the present who do not deserve to be punished for it.

not everyone can travel to gigs. damn, when pj played the astoria i couldnt afford to go and i live ten miles away.

    play turkey!

"they (pearl jam) are a business."

I've been quite frozen by this statement right now. If Pearl Jam wouldn't do it for love, what the hell were they looking for 10 years before? For money?

And unfortunately you don't know this matter of fact:

Pearl Jam fought aganist Ticketmaster because of selling the concert tickets very high and had this problem to be settled in court. "Animal" lyrics were written to protest this fuckin' monopoly company, that kept the ticket prices high madly for years ago.

Yeah, these lyrics were dedicated to Ticketmaster.

" said one, two, three, four, five against one
five, five.. five, five... FIVE AGANIST ONE.. "

If they come, I'll give the hotel money, haha. ;)

Pearl Jam is another way of a word called love.

out of love they charged me nearly $200 for 2 tickets to the Wembley, London show... thats two times more expensive than any other gig i've been to... yes PJ are definitely fighting for cheaper ticket prices :D
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Haha, I've forgotten to write the result of trial. Pearl Jam wrote a petition to senate to inform them about this problem; but American government was as always with the powerful one, "Moneymonster" .

I think it's still not their fault...

Here is the link to where I found this article. Doesn't sound like a place that I'd want to travel to as an American.

    http://worldworx.tv/safety/europe/turkey/index.htm

    "SECURITY AND SAFETY ^
Terrorist bombings -- some with significant numbers of casualties -- over the past two years have struck religious, political, and business targets in a variety of locations in Turkey. The potential remains throughout Turkey for violence and terrorist actions against U.S. citizens and interests, both by transnational and indigenous terrorist organizations.

In November 2003 the Al-Qa'ida network was responsible for four large suicide bombings in Istanbul that targeted western interests. The British Consulate, HSBC Bank, and two synagogues were targeted by massive suicide truck bombs that killed dozens of people and wounded hundreds. These incidents represent a significant change from prior attacks in Turkey and show an increasing willingness on the part of the terrorist to attack Western targets. Consistent with Al-Qa'ida's world-wide operations, and as indicated in State Department world wide public announcements, it is possible that a terror cell fostered by Al-Qa'ida could strike again in Turkey without warning."

I know news about terrorism has always been shown like a huge barrier to the bands. That link you left is just one of them.

The 1996 year Pearl Jam had been here, there was still terrorism in Turkiye. Are there any people living in 100 % peace in their countries? I wish, there were...

And today, lots of succesful bands and singers like TOOL, Manic Street Preachers, Chris Cornell, Robert Plant, Duran Duran, Franz Ferdinand, Norah Jones, The Smashing Pumkins are coming to give concerts here. They'll give their concerts in peace and safety.

I still defend PJ has no political fear or handicap about it.
