Maybe they just don't have a major market in turkey? I mean they (pearl jam) are a business. If they see potential in a country they'll probably play it one day. But that's just a guess.

I don't know how popular they are in Turkey, but if the sales are strong enough, I think maybe they'll tour it. I mean it took Pearl Jam years until they played Brasil.

it has been 10 years since they first came.pearl jam has always been realy popular in Turkey and the number of their fans has increased since then.there must be some kind of other problems which we may not be able to reason but one thing is sure that the fans are becoming tired as they ve been waiting for such a long time.

because your Human Rights record is atrocious
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

like what?yes , there are too many claims about Türkiye's point of view about human rights that are being imposed to the brains of the people of now-a-days' world , but , think about it once , none of them has been proved up to now!!there is no logical reason for all those that are said about türkiye.and it is essential for anybody to behave sensitively and not to mention any idea without knowing the reality in detail.

ı hate when people talk about the things that they have no idea. ı mean you only know the things that somebody else told you. you dont even bother to research and the only thing you do is blaming türkiye
what you do is so wrong
as you can see ı dont write about your country as a result of my respect to you and your counry

Turkey has been criticized by a number of international human rights NGOs for its violations of certain rights of its citizens.[22] The European Union has been the biggest critic of Turkey's human rights record and this has hindered Turkey's accession process to join the EU. The European Court of Human Rights has also issued many rulings highly critical of Turkey's human rights record and other NGOs, such as the Amnesty International and the Human Rights Watch, have also been critical of Turkey

you only see the things that america and the other big countries want you too see.
their only aim-especially the Europian Union - is to make turkey weeker so that we can be like iran or ıraq.
can't you see that all they want is to seperate us with the help of this games?
ı assure you that turkey is very respectful to human rights maybe even more than other countries.
maybe you're right to think that way. our prime minister tayyip Erdoğan makes everything to ruin turkey's image who will be accused to be traitor someday

it is true that the goverments of Türkiye has not been fair and respectful to the rights of its own citizens in the last ,approximately ,30 years but one thing is sure that there is a remarkable number of people in here who are fighting for their social rights, freedom and for the future of the country which is constantly not so bright ,again because of the attitudes of the goverments in the international area.it's so wrong to appraise a whole country by not taking care of all the circumatances it is surrounded with.

    armenian genocide and honour killings.

Let's keep it current. otherwise we can say that Pearl Jam should not tour Germany and a huge list of other countries with a dark past.

(btw, honor killings are against the law in Turkey)

:D you beat me to it.

i bet there are more Pearl Jam fans in China than Turkey, and they've never played there.

i mean, i don't know... how many American bands have played in Turkey? i imagine there are a lot of complicated politics involved in this even though there shouldn't be. it's a just a rock and roll show. i hope they do play there.
