Although it's not at all funny, I laughed out loud when I learned the people had to pretend to be insane to get out of the hospital. I learned very early on to "accept" my own role as being insane, because when you don't, that's when they really treat you poorly. It's so....insane.

This is why there are many secret sects of wisdom-keepers. Our general mediocrity in society cannot handle true visionary awareness. Due to the witch-hunt mentality, the occult--or what is hidden--must remain hidden.

Another thing I want to add about the "craziness" about those who diagnose people as insane...

The mental health professional who has been involved with me for the longest and the most indepthly is a social worker who worked with our family in our home. This woman has witnessed the worst times of my life. I've known her for over ten years, professionally and as a friend. She always validated my intelligence and mind, and worked in helping my children and I deal with people like Ahnimus and the close-minded stigma people love to put on others in order to feel better about themselves and their tunnel-visioned agendas.

She provided a reference for me. Recently, my coordinator read to me what my references said about me, and this social worker, among other glowing and awesome things, said that I was very even-keeled. I thought that was super-ironic, since it was considered that I have bi-polar disorder which is "supposedly" evidenced by great fluctuation of mood.

One thing to keep in mind in all these arguments about mental health issues is that the whole field is still in it's early stages.

In the last twenty years it has changed dramatically. It is not like medicine to take care of the body where people have learned by looking and trying and medicating for hundreds of years...

Please keep that in mind when you try to state facts as absolute.

In this field, there is not the same kind of certainty.

My experiences in the mental health field have been in the past 20 years. I speak to my experiences.

The lacks of awareness in the system are something I am painfully aware of from within the system. It's great for someone to speak from the other side, which I have experience with as well, yet, the lacks remain.
