Sarah Palin's Very Bad Interview

  • And of course, you'd agree.

Well, what can I say? I'm a sucker for logic laced with humor. :D
  • This made me laugh out loud. So what is your point now? Should she stop talking to the press completely?

Funny you should mention debates, which McCain-Palin also want to make go away.

Interviews and debates -- why do we even need them?!

No she shouldn't stop talking...I'm surprised by her lack of preparation for these scheduled interviews, none of the questions should have been a surprise. I thought being a governor, even for "only 20 months" would have showed her to be far more of a detail oriented fighter...preparing for everything.

I can't wait to see the VP debate. If she doesn't drop the whole Al Gore-robot thing she's got going with the same programmed answers, it'll be all over.

  • McCain will likely be just fine tonight. He'll go in and "shoot from the hips" and try to do the "straight talk" thing. He'll hold his own. This debate is about foreign policy, so unlike the economy, he knows about this topic. The only way Obama will destroy him tonight is if McCain blows his top about something, which is unlikely but possible given his past. So I think it will be interesting. Obama might try to piss him off, but probably not because if it's too obvious, it will backfire.

Logic? So, a McDonald's manager is more qualified to be president than Sarah Palin? Yes or no?

c'mon dude ... for crying out loud ... some semblance of knowledge is a start ... we're not talking phd here ... she knows nothing about anything outside her small town ... she is in waaaaaaaaay over her head - surely, you must realize this ... even all your standard conservative pundits are saying this ...

It could be the most entertaining debate out of the 4. We'll have Biden who will ramble on with some off-on-a-tangent story answer, and Palin who will counter by repeating the same pre-programmed phrases over and over again regardless of the question.

After seeing her interviews, I think about 40% of the public is more Qualified. SHE HAS NO CLUE!!!!

Every time she opens her mouth, I have a flashback to my days of answering essay questions on Spanish tests in college. I was a terrible student in that class, and would double-talk my way through every question, using and reusing a handful of phrases that I had memorized. :D

so ... someone beating the same dead horse as GWB and has the knowledge of a 9th grader is your saviour? ...

A manager of a *busy* McDonald's. You forgot the "busy". :D
  • Back to the topic here, I am also very surprised she has done so poorly on these interviews. These were supposed to be the semi-scripted softball interviews. They're borderline fluff-pieces, with them walking around, etc. And even so, Palin comes across as completely terrified, rigid and unable to think on her toes.

I know she can do better than she has, but my god, it's really hard to watch.

  • Her ignorance of topics would be funny if not for the fact that she might be president in the future. Fucking scary.
  • A manager of a *busy* McDonald's. You forgot the "busy". :D

You also forgot to say yes or no?

I don't think anyone hates her... I'm just in disbelief at how she got to where she is today, and even in more disbelief with how unprepared that she still is.

That's EXACTLY what it is. We've all been there. For me, it was grad school level political philosophy, which I took as an undergrad. It was all socratic method type learning, and I had no clue, so I just regurgitated off point analyses. Same exact thing as Palin in these interviews.

    I got a C+, by the way.

Hey Cincy, I'm proud of you for coming on here and still defending her. It's gotta be tough. But seriously though? She could end up being President???!!!

    I agree. It's a stunner, for sure.

I don't hate her. On the contrary, I've gone from extreme skeptic to almost sympathetic towards her. I *almost* hope she'll do ok in the VP debate now, lol.

Hey, maybe this is all part of their strategy!
