Basically, we don't pick on anyone our own size...or anyone who can truly stand up to us.

    The problem with you conspiracy theorists is that you give these "neo cons", whoever they may be, the credit for being smart enough to pull off such a mass conspiracy. They aren't that smart. And conpiracy theorists are......well...kinda paranoid anyways.

    Coup d'etats happen all the time, in this day an age, most operations are covert and conspiracies are abounding. Not all the theories are wrong, but some of the nuts give the practice a bad name.

    and to say they couldn't pull it off is wrong. when you run the country, and have an event like 9/11 that stirs that much fear, anything is possible.

    What I was trying to say is that because Bush completely fucked up the Iraq war, its going to be very difficult convincing people that we need to go to war with Iran. Even if it was completely necessary, good luck conveying that to people who already feel they've been lied to and taken advantaged of.
