It's happenin. All the evidence is there. And it ain't gonna be pretty. This has been coming for some time and the move is on right now. How do I know? Look around...

1) 20K more troops going to "iraq" over the protests of BOTH parties
2) 3 US carrier groups within range or Iran
3) Bold moves by US troops directly against Iranian interests in Iraq.
4) Israel's attack on Hezbollah? Huh you say? Israel gets advance intelligence of US intent to strike Iran and realize that Hezbollah will use Iranian made missiles to attack their cities in a reprisal that would certainly come. So they move first and push Hezbollah back first.

And before everyone calls me a war monger I am not advocating this, simply saying take a look....

Yeah saw that one. US F-15's going after US F-14's? Could be ugly. At least we have spare parts/

This is all too familiar. We are hearing the same reasons and excuses all over again.
"Iranians are smuggling into Iraq sophisticated explosive devices, mortars, and detailed plans to wipe out Sunni Arab neighbourhoods,"
"The al-Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards is stepping up terrorism and encouraging sectarian violence in Iraq,"
"There is a sharp surge in Iran's sponsorship of terrorism and sectarian violence in the past few months,"
Not to mention the old "Iran will have nukes within a year" BS.

Reality is the Iranians have been arming the shiites from the beginning. We knew that. We could not respond because we fucked up with Iraq. What's scary is the direct move we made against Iran itself very recently, and the probable Iranian hit of a US compound. American uniform uniformed, English speaking GI's in American vehicles kill and capture US Gi's. Far too complex for ragtag insurgents. That was organized and backed by a government. Im just saying, it's on..

it amazes me that this slow buildup has been happening and no one has taken notice. the writing has been on the wall for a long time now.

i hope the american people and the media will stand up and make sure this does not happen.

and as a last resort, maybe the pussy dems will step up and cut off funding.

you can't lump all "insurgents" into the "ragtag" group. A lot of them are former iraqi military people, so they know how to operate.

  • I just hope the hawks in washington aren't poking Iran with a stick until it attacks us "first". If that happens it might be hard to avoid a war. James Polk all over again.

Im not there. But the tea leaves say that operation was done by Iran in retaliation for our raid of their consulate. Since we have suspects in custody that leads to a hot trail back to iran, thats just the kind of thing that Presidents use as justification for attack. And im not just talking about this one.

    1. The US is foolish to stop the sale of F-14 spares. They're useless to us, and we need the money.

    2. The U.S. cannot unilaterally tell other nations who have bought F-14's that they are banned from exporting spares. They bought the planes. They own 'em. If they wanna raffle 'em off to the public in a lottery, that's their business. Not wise, but theirs to do with as they see fit. They bought 'em...they own 'em.

    3. The U.S. has been dicking with Iran for nearly 50 years. We're not going to stop just because our president has no integrity or credibility. America's black eye in foreign policy will take decades to erase as it is...at this point, there's no such thing as insult to injury. Our name is mud with far too many nations for us to be concerned with world opinion on Iran.

    4. We do not recognize the authority of the world court, so that basically gives us a blank check to shit on anyone we see fit...unless they have the bomb...then we act like we have some common sense, and try to solve problems with "diplomacy". Basically, we don't pick on anyone our own size...or anyone who can truly stand up to us.

    5. :(

Umm.. Sorta, kinda, not really. We were essentially political allies until '79. The rest is self-explanitory. Yes, they have F-14s... blah blah blah Iraq somehow had French Mirages showing up on tarmacs during the "sanctions" of the '90s. That's what I think about world opinion.

Yes, that's kind of the point. When someone has "the bomb" it's hard to stop them from imposing their will. That's why, listen closely, it's extremely important to stop all efforts of our enemies to get "the bomb." The day we stop "shitting" on anyone we see fit is the day you stop having the right to post these things here.

Only because we toppled their freely elected democratic government and installed the Shah. I don't consider that an ally scenario. In fact, it probably led to our falling out with people who just don't forget that sort of thing :(

the coming war with iran is just a continuation of the neo-con, pnac plan. they came into office with plans of taking over the middle east. they used the controlled media to trick people into thinking iraq was a threat, now they're doing the same with iran.

none of this is happening by accident.

    A few things.

1)What do you think we have been doing with Iran these last few years? It seems like diplomacy to me. All we have been doning is talking to Iran. But I guess sence it is some-what stern talk and that we are not giving them every thing they want we are shitting on them.

2)Its not like we just pulled Iran out of some hat for a country to "pick" on. They are teying to build nuclear weapons.

    3) There is no one our size or who can stand up to us. In a few years China, maybe, but doubtful.
    Peace through superior firepower!

The Shah? The Ayatollah Khomeni took control after an Iranian revolt. Carter just refused to give the Shah any support. It was the Khomeni that began refferring to the U.S. as the "Great Satan."

All of us "conspiracy theorists" knew it was on with Iran and Syria after 9/11. It's all part of the neo-con plan.

The problem with you conspiracy theorists is that you give these "neo cons", whoever they may be, the credit for being smart enough to pull off such a mass conspiracy. They aren't that smart. And conpiracy theorists are......well...kinda paranoid anyways.

Ok, now you are stereotyping conspiracy theorists :p

Coup d'etats happen all the time, in this day an age, most operations are covert and conspiracies are abounding. Not all the theories are wrong, but some of the nuts give the practice a bad name.
