Just to clarify as in the title of the thread...I'm not complaining about a 4 row difference at all. I fully support that system. I'm asking if that system is being implemented properly or if it's not. Because there are some indications that it's not.
no some other guy was pissed he might be in row 12 instead of row 8. yes, you just read that correctly.
Thank you. Life is way too short to worry about things that probably won't happen.
I'm just looking for answers to ensure I'm going to get what I'm paying for.
We've already established that, even if you get answers you don't like, you're not going to be able to do a damn thing about it and you're still going to go to the show.
Have we seen a guarantee these things will not happen again?
No, because there are no guarantees in life. Sometimes, people steal things. Sometimes, mistakes happen.
I'd rather speak up ahead of time and reduce the chance of getting similarly screwed than wait til it's happened when you REALLY can't do shit about it.
Right, because this thread is going to fix your supposed problem that hasn't even happened yet. What did you think, the 10 Club is going to get your name and number off this thread, and hold your hand at the box office to make sure your seats are to your liking? All you're doing is whining to a bunch of fellow fans who have no power to help you whatsoever.
everybody wants the most they can possibly get

Again, there was a mistake made at one show, that the 10C apologized for and was looking into. Do you just ignore the evidence from the other 6 or 7 shows that points to you NOT getting screwed?

Life is too short to worry about things that might not happen, but long enough to attempt to bully someone on the internet and insinuate their choices in underwear selection? ...and mock their concern? Interesting.
There is evidence of people not getting screwed. True. There is also evidence it has happened. But when errors happen once, that is cause for concern...when you've invested time and money into a situation. I'm not going to assume they've fixed the problem and I'm not going to assume they haven't...that is why I am asking questions. And the admins who represent the 10C HAVE shown that they check these boards, so it's not just talking to powerless fans as you've described.
The questions I'm asking are fair questions that should be answered given the history of the situation. If I present them in a way that you perceive as whining, well then I'm sorry but I'm not a lawyer and I can't write in legalese to get a point across.
That said, given your comments, I'd classify you as a forum bully and I'm honestly done responding to you, but please do continue to bump this thread for me if you'd like. :-)
one big problem with all these threads is that yes the admins do check these boards, however if you do a little research on these and other boards they list their email addresses and from past experience they also answer their emails and I'm sure that they'd be a lot more appreciative to handle it directly with them instead of coming and posting on a message board. Even if your posts are not meant to be whining or nasty these are words and can be read in whatever fashion someone might take them. As I stated early, I've always found kat and the rest of the staff to be stand up people who care about the fanclub members and would address you with respect, I would hope that we could handle it the same way.........

I've been in the very back of many shows. Believe me. I've had a great time there too. I am annoyed at Bait-And-Switch selling which, if you read the threads carefully, appears to have been what happened.
Derrick - I was in row 12 at Columbia, 15th at Tampa, 16th at WPB. 165xxx. I didn't win the lottery any night. Don't fucking worry about this.
I understand the need to want good seats. I wouldn't travel 900 miles to sit in the lawn, unless it was the only show I could go to. But to bitch about one isolated incident is ridiculous.

Don't come around here with your sanity and logic.
It's tour time ... which means we must all freak out, man!

It would be funny if someone in the fourth row "wins the lottery" and gets put in the 9th or 10th row.
Outside of a mistake, this does not happen. You cannot 'win' a worse seat. If a 4th row person does not win row 1 or 2, they fill in as usual so they would probably be in row 6.
So this is what it's like to be an adult.
Atlanta 4-3-94,Charleston 10-5-96
Atlanta 8-7-00,Atlanta 4-19-03
Vegas 6-6-03,Vegas 7-6-06
Chicago Vic 8-2-07,Columbia 6-16-08
MSG I 6-24-08, Philadelphia 10-31-09

well, there was some sort of mistake made at the camden show that they acknowledged....
now, however, after a few days and waiting for people to report in their seats on touringfans for virginia beach, there appears to have been a switch of seniority involving those 100xxx-200xxx getting better seats than several people below 100xxx.
Camdon 1 section 100 row R seat 12
thats extreme right. I got to see Booms back only. So i am thnking i cant get that unlucky again. Camden 2 section 100 row m seat 21 so 5 rows closer but even more extreme right. I am not complaining it is what it is. But I usually support the opening band and would never leave in the middle of the show to get a beer etc etc. But when you are so extreme right you cant see anything does it matter? I heard lots of scuttlebutt and rumors around the venue. but does it matter? I walk up to the venue 3 more times and I take what i am given. I do hope it is a 10 club person running things and not venue staff though. I got there 3 pm friday and 8 30 pm thursdayso that wasnt a factor.
the bottom line is yuo take what you are given. I personally would not travel to philly for 2 seats that I got for those 2 shows. I would have taken 50 rows furthur back to jsut be somewhat centered.
see everyone in dc and NY
my number is 218xxx. I am traveling from Arkansas for the 2 MSG shows. I'm not expecting great seats but am hoping. What I am expecting is 2 great shows and the awesome MSG experience. I'm grateful that I got tickets on those days since it seemed EVERYONE was trying to get tickets to these 2 particular shows.
I will take lottery seats though...just saying.
Oh please, let it rain today, this city's so filthy, like my mind in ways . . .

Judging from touring fans ... I might be watching the MSG shows from the TGIFriday's across the street
but it's all good. I'm going in practically expecting 10 Club nosebleeds. Anything better will be icing ...

I'll tell you, this board has gotten a whole lot more fun since the tour started.
