I'm a staunch conservative, no exceptions. Liberals should be banished to Venezuela.

I've got a better idea. Let's get the most extreme 1% of extremist, psychobabble libs and themost extreme 1% of nutjob conservatives and let them loose with automatic weapons in the brazillian jungle. I guarantee that will give you more laughs.

make it 5% of those fringes and put them all in guantanamo bay and film it for reality tv. last inmate alive wins their life and banishment to the foreign country of their choice.

I don't want to be sarcastic in any way in this post, but...

Am I the only person that disagrees? Am I really? Isn't it possible- even probable- that both major parties have an LCD? Surely there are just as many idiotic liberals as there are conservatives, and vice versa. Right?

You are right...no question. I think liberals for the most part have an arguement worth listening to, and the same is true of conservatives. There is a core conservatism and a core liberalism that is reasonable - but in today's world it is us and them so many fall into the great divide on the other side of the middle. And they do fall.

  • Instead of labels like liberal or conservative, I think we should have just one:

"I don't like people who aren't like me" or "I like people who aren't like me."

I would fall firmly in the first. I certainly don't like people who aren't like me.

    Comments/suggestions?

    Indifference is the correct answer.

My closest friends range from extremely conservative to socialists. To insulate yourself to only like minded people is pretty stupid to me. In my opinion it's a sure sign of someone's insecurity and the nned to have people agree with him/her all the time in order to give that dying ego a boost.

And just a basic rule of thumb... never argue politics with people in a bar when y'all are drunk. Alcohol seems to have adverse effects on reason and logic.

at least 'Liberal' has the word Liberty in it, sure they steal our money, but not our democracy.

and if you take the "b", "e", and "l" out if the word and put the "a" before the "r" you get "liar"...coincidence...I think not :)

Now that’s some reality tv I might watch. I’ve had similar thoughts about the fringes, of course you would be creating a new fringe by eliminating the previous one so you would have to do it again and again and again…until your left with a bunch of fence sitters or the Zero.
