Is he even in the presidential race? And supposing he is and he gets elected, how does anyone shut down the big banks and get them to play nice?

Unfortunately 2008 will again be a choice between dumb and dumber. In 2008 I will again vote for none of the above when it comes to the major parties.
BTW, your natural suspcion of politicans is a healthy thing!
So potentially this guy has more power if he's not elected then?
I mean by that he would be more useful blocking things in parliament than actually leading it?
Think we have pretty much the same problem here at the moment. A choice between asshole and bigger asshole. Hence me not supporting the majors. I can't call them dumb and dumber because I suspect that they are both cunning. And cunning is a dangerous thing from the wrong people.
Guess I've watched Little Johnny for so long now, with his twists and turns and backflipping, and his endless support of George that I've grown more and more suspicious as the years have passed. Of course you only have to look at the crap that went on before Johnny to see that they're all little hand puppets in the end.And I say if you're gonna vote for a puppet then you can't go past Elmo!
NOPE!!!

I don't care who goes in as long as they vow to abolish the IRS and federal reserve. God that would be beautiful.

Ron Paul rules and does have a good chance. Las vegas bookies have him at either 7-1 or 9-1 to win the Republican Primary. Sure his national recognition is not strong but he doesn't carry the negatives of other candidates and his campaign both in website visits and fundraising doubled over the last three months. He is starting to break out in NH! If he does well in NH and Iowa, he will get a real chance and national recognition.
Vote Ron Paul 2008!
Imagine a GOP candidate that isn't either crazy or on the take?

Thanks for that. A good explanation, which makes a lot more sense now.
I guess this is the first I've seen of the fella, because you know I'm on the other side of the world and all, and I have a natural suspicion of politicians anyway, so if it turns out that he's elected and his intent is the right of each individual then perhaps he's not so sinister. I guess only time will tell though right?http://mikecann.net

Ron Paul walks the walk. He means what he says and he answers questions to-the-point. He's not a politician - he's a statesman.
These other people simply don't compare. All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.
