    Sad thing is she really didn't have to. Or, that is to say, she is/was a top-notch track and field phenom.

    and give me a break would you. she didnt come clean as an act of contrition. she's doing it before someone else outs her. and to lessen her jail time.

    All I'm saying is, and the reason I made the post is because I saw the press conference, in which she outed herself to her fans, and she did it in a dignified and honest manner.

    I mean, why can't some of our politicians come clean like that? I don't think her shame was contrived. The concern for what this was going to do to her family, not contrived. In spite of what she may be facing in jail time, I think she came out strong and equal to honest as she could.... The gig was up.

    i didn't say contrived. i said chastened. caught with her hand in the cookie jar so to speak. and yeah i can imagine she is concerned for her family. genuinely so, why wouldn't she be?

    which part? all of it? ive seen more press conferences with sport stars asking for forgiveness or admitting wrongs or whatever than i have with politicians. though that probably says more about politicians inability to come clean than anything else. honestly i don't even care what these people do on the field, or track as the case may be, why would i care what they do in private?

    Our current politicians aren't being put on the spot by our Federal Agents as they should be. This is so pitiful a headline compared to what really rages on in America.
