So do you think Ron Paul is the Governor of Texas? That would explain a lot.

    Enjoy your sweet oblivion.

    Hes not the fucking governor.
    You do get that, right?

    Sounds like you dont.
He doesn't run the fucking state of texas.
he is a goddamn congressman who REPRESENTS one whole district.

You are so ignorant on all of this it hurts.
Cant you just go back to your little time out?

The thing about Ron Paul that all of his supporters need to understand is:
NOT EVERYONE KNOWS WHO HE IS

I appreciate everyone's desire to educate the people on this board. But what you need to do in addition is educate your family and your friends.
I was talking to both my husband and my father about Ron Paul and neither had heard of him. Both are well read and on top of the news.
At first I figured he flew under my husband's radar as he works and was going to school at the same time. But when my father informed me he hadn't heard of him, I was shocked.
He has since took it upon himself to google him and told me he would vote for him.
Since he is being shunned by the media, it is your/our responsibility to spread the word.

Did either of the people you mention in your anecdote PLAN TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARIES before being told about Ron Paul?

If not, then i don't care.
In general, most of the people i know who have no clue who RP is also have no plans to vote in the primary.

    Thus, i could care less.
    That, or they are democrats.
    Same diff.

I agree with this. For people who haven't heard of Ron Paul, the approach should be educational.

But the OP here definitely knows who Ron Paul is. He was simply trolling. But he screwed up his first post by demonstrating ignorance, so instead of looking pretentious, he looked silly.

I would (and have) certainly taken a different tact with people who haven't heard of him, or want to know more about him and his issues.

    What is your point?
My father has always voted in the primary and is a registered republican.
My husband never voted before he met me and we havent discussed the primary yet.
And I am just telling you that people do not know who he is. Voters.
And you could care less? Awesome. I wasn't directing the post directly at you; I don't even know who you are. lol

I wasn't directing it at him either. I just wanted to throw that out there and this was the latest RP thread.
My father is very intelligent and well informed. I was shocked he hadn't heard of him. But he is a mainstream news kind of guy I think. He is 78, but he loves to be educated about current issues. He was so excited to tell me he had googled him. lol

My point was only that a large number of the people that i personaly know (of many ages) ... the ones of them who don't know ron paul are also the ones that, while likely to vote in the GENERAL elections, WILL NOT LIKELY VOTE IN THE PRIMARIES>

Thus, their knowing who Ron Paul is, while it would be nice if they went out & voted for him, will not be DETRACTING from his chances by voting AGAINST him in the primaries.

It wasn't a personal dig at you.
    Sorry for the confusion. Sheesh.

I guess what i'm saying is, as it stands, I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT RON'S CHANCES.

RUDY HAS TO BRING SEVEN BUSES OF SUPPORTERS FROM NYC WITH HIM TO NEW HAMPSHIRE to makesure his Rallys dont FLOP!

The Huckabee forum has 5000 posts VS Ronpaulforums FIFTY THOUSAND ...

I just think, looking at ground truth numbers, that Ron Paul is doing A- OK with the support he currently has.
THE RABID, STED-FAST 100% GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM SUPPORT.

You missed the point...if people don't know who the f he is, he will not win the primary.
It is pretty simple what I am saying.
If you want him to win the primary, get the word out.

ONLY TEN PERCENT OF THE COUNTRY VOTES IN THE PRIMARIES!

POLLS ARE SHOWING RON PAUL AT TEN PERCENT.

HE CAN WIN RIGHT NOW JUST FINE!

90% OF RON PAUL SUPPORTERS WILL VOTE RON PAUL AND THEY WILL VOTE, PERIOD.

All of the other candidates "voters" are only 50\50 to vote for them, PER THE POLLS.

    ITS OK.
    I GET YOUR POINT.

I JUST HAPPEN TO THINK THAT 20 MILLION DOLLARS CANT BE WRONG.

The guy has more money in the bank than ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE.

    good little boy.

    Yup.
And right back to the "naughty stair" you will go until you learn how to argue in a civil tounge while RESPECTING (at least with SOME MODICUM) your fellow forum members.

If you have a opposing point of view, ARTICULATE IT WITH SUBSTANTIVE ARGUMENT, not the bullshit rhetoric and personal attacks you consistently bandy about.

Look, Jlew and i used to get in to it ALL the time, and even we get along now. Hell, i have taken my fair share of time outs, but learned to be civil. Looks like you will learn the hard way as well.

Thanks for the support, Jlew -- ya old lug.
