But since you mention no specific candidate, it is either "yes I would" or "I would never vote for a black candidate."
Someone can't say no right now because of "politics and style" when the question is this general.
So how can you say "Yes meaning you like his politics and style" when we don't have a person in mind.
Doubtful that anyone will actually say "no."
THANKS
ur so noble
I totally understand the concept of no speculation. But your reference to "politics and style" makes no sense in the context of no speculation.
If we are not going to speculate, let's open it all the way up. Would you vote for a candidate that is:
-Female
-Gay
-Jewish
-Muslim
-American Indian
-Asian American
-Atheist
-Etc.
My asnwer to the above is "yes." And yes, I would vote for a male, a white or a Christian (and usually have)
Yes, I would vote in a black prime minister.
How is it bafoonery? Did you not think that you would not get called out for the inconsistancy of "no speculation" going along with "you like his politics and style"?
Oh I see you would not vote for a woman.
(OK, I doubt you will have a sense of humor about that, but I'm just joshin ya).
I'm disturbed by the seemingly unwavering support of black people for black people. The O.J. case being an example; many people within the black communities cheered as O.J.'s verdict was delivered and admited "He was probably guilty, but a black guy beat the law.". I understand the historical conflict between black people and the law, but that should not be justification alone for seeing a murderer walk. Nor should it be justification alone for voting one in to Presidency.
The reason I threw that in is that nobody is going to say "I'd never vote for a black candidate." All attempts to trick them notwithstanding.
However, I am sure you would get some that would say they would not vote for a gay candidate and certainly a muslim or Athiest.

Atheists run for presidency?
I would deffinately prefer an atheist in office as opposed to a religious fundamentalist. At least with an atheist we can be sure politics and religion don't get crossed.
Not anything at all?

No. Because they know they would lose.

"style" wins elections more than politics and policies.

I know, that is the reality of US style elections in particular, but to be it seems an irrelevance. (It probably should be a separate question in moving train!)

Of course. As long as I agree and support the issues and his politics. That's the way I vote for any election. I couldn't care less if you are black, purple or walk around with blue hair and a dildo strapped to your head. It's the issues that matter.
here is a brilliant thread. are you asking about voting or not voting because of skin color or because of his politcs?
Doesn't help that you are going round insulting us in this thread! WMaybe your questions weren't too good?
