If that is what it takes...I'm down for it.

John McCain has said way too much wacky shit to give him a free pass for the next 6 weeks.

Maybe the Clinton attack dogs will turn their attention to McCain... that would be nice to see for a while.

  • The question should be if Hillary did win, what would Obama fans do about it?

Would they rise off their couches, and for how long afterwards?
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

    The question is moot.

But... Rise for what? Some supporters would be disgusted and stay home on election day, some would find another candidate, and some would vote for Hilary.... not real hard of a question.

Yeah, as much as the ditto-heads yap about patriotism and loving this country, using a vote (that so many people fought so hard to gain), just for the intent of trying to cause havoc in a primary, doesn't sit well with me.

Did you think the same in 2000, when Democrats crossed over to vote for McCain in order to fuck with Bush? Rush didn't invent "operation chaos."

You can't blame anybody for doing anything within the rules. If you want to change the open primary rules, I'd be all for it.

Seems Hilary will bring the entire party down around her.

If that's what it takes to win, so be it Jedi. Interesting article about her willingness to continue the fight in the current Rolling Stone.

If people did it just to screw with Bush (and the republican primary), then absolutely, I think the same.

I don't remember about a concentrated effort then to do it, but it would have been wrong. I would guess too, that a lot of Dems crossed over to vote for McCain because they thought he was a better candidate than Bush or Gore (no doubt he was).

Open voting needs to be done away with.
Here in AZ, they have closed voting and it assures that nobody on the other team is going to fuck with the results.

well, Michigan where Obama took himself off the ballot voluntarily and Florida are still out there and she's a lawyer... so I guess we see what the rules really mean to the democratic party whether they mean to stick to thier word or let this one go to court.

This one is definately going to the convention and maybe past it.

Hillary's not done, and in fact, Obama says she's good enough and smart enough to be on anybody's shortlist for VP. Like his. If he picks her, he'll be back on my shortlist. And all those Dems who didn't vote for him...the vast majority will jump into the fold, as well. Who wouldn't like a guy that smart himself?

And the best part??? Even better than the Dream Ticket??? Seeing the Republican response.
