How can someone mourn for a guy who's actual JOB it was to lie to our entire country?! And through that cause millions of innocent deaths?! Are you people fucking insane? Calling people who don't mourn for this asshole "hypocrites" is just fucking retarded. I hated this guy two days ago, now I have to feel sorry for him?! Give me a fucking break.
I'm done talking about this useless subject.
This doesnt happen often but I agree totally with you. People just suddenly forgot what a fuckstick this man was ??0 -
I don't care much either way about Tony Snow, but I'm sorry for his family. I also don't care much about Ted Kennedy. But I recall a short while ago when Kennedy was diagnosed with his condition, any negativity in that thread was immediately shut down by Kat. I'd like to see Kat exercise that same sound judgement in these threads."I'll use the magic word - let's just shut the fuck up, please." EV, 04/13/080

Snow isnt seriously ill ..... he is dead. The giant podium in the sky (or hell or nothingness depending upon ur beliefs).0 -
whats the statute of limitations on being allowed to criticize a dead person, anyway? is it ok to point out that he was a jerk next week? or next month? i'm pretty sure i can talk shit about Alexander the Great at this point, so i know its less than a few centuries. should i just post my condolensces for the family that will never read this silly ass message board?
no negative vibes, dude, your harshing my buzz. we only exchange positive views on the moving train, man. also, dont talk shit about one side unless you talk equal shit to the other. its only fair.
(but seriously, being an asshole doesnt give you cancer! thats just stupid.)

Like I said in the other thread, he seemed like a nice enough guy, even if I don't agree with what he stood for. He certainly doesn't deserve people dancing on his grave.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0 -

I'll go with nothingness. Look, I don't give 2 shits about Snow or Kennedy. I think they have both done things which led to people dying (Snow indirectly, Kennedy directly), and have both done things which have made this country worse for their having been here. I don't see the distinction you are drawing. The "seriously ill" was contextual. Kat made the proclaimation in a thread with a "seriously ill" person. What is the difference between talking badly about someone who just died vs someone who is seriously ill? Especially if those we're talking about are public figures, and will never read the posts?
Anyway, all that aside, I think the OP is disgusting, and hope that he has a shred of self-awareness and is so embarrassed by the idiocy of his post that he never returns. Like Byrnzie, Hippimom was on my mind as I read his post. And I decided not to comment for a couple of days because of a rage I felt toward the OP. Now I only feel disdain."I'll use the magic word - let's just shut the fuck up, please." EV, 04/13/080 -

wow blaming one person for teh war is pretty sad. lets follow this logic then. i hope all teh troops die of cancer for killing all those people. lets blame congress for not stopping the war, so cancer for them. all the citizens who supported the war, cancer for all you. this might be the dumbest post i have ever read. also, i never knew that that Tony Snow was teh only person who voted for teh war. maybe i missed something.People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid."

I don't think there is any statute of limitations about being allowed to criticize a dead person, but what bothers me here are the people that are celebrating his death.
I couldn't care less for Tony Snow, but as someone who has had cancer tough his family, I do feel for his friends and family... I've totally stayed away from this subject on the news, but even back when he was diagnosed, a lot of people commented on how nice of a guy he was, even (before his press secretary days) taking care of young reporters just starting in washington, etc...
I disagree about 180 degrees with his politics, and he helped make a mockery out of political reporting with how he acted in briefings, but in the end, he was just a spokesman.
Any why the hell are people blaming him for this war or the deaths of innocent people??? He started the job in 2006, the war/occupation was WELL underway, and with an administration that had/has no intention of ending it, exactly how is it their mouthpiece's fault that the war continued?jeffbr wrote:I don't care much either way about Tony Snow, but I'm sorry for his family.
