The RETURN of JESUS

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or theories on the supposedly return of the "Messiah." (If you believe in such a thing?)

If so, how do you think it is going to happen --and what do you think he is going to be like when he gets here?

My prediction is -- (based on silent visions and secret prophecies,) .........
(wink, wink,) ;)
he is going to wanna sing with Pearl Jam,
and dance with the Stones.

I predict a Rock and Roll Prophet,
a rebel with a cause -- and still very much anti-goverment, and anti-religion.

Just a thought.
Sincerely,
DKing

Like St Paul wrote to the Thesolonians.. you shouldn't concern yourselves with such things.. don't be waiting around for the messiah to come again, get on with your lives loving and serving God in all that you do.

A guy I work with says he's already hear and the anti-christ is here too. The end of days started in 1914 and the evidence is all around us. He says things like crime and homosexuality are evidence of the anti-christ.

That's kind of like Jehova's Witness but he's not. Says he's read the book a dozen times. I think that's kind of obsessive.
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

Yeah, those were definately not around prior to 1914.
Using the word "methinks" in your message board posts doesn't make you look smart.

I think he is going to come back in non human form and be unable to communicate with any of those crazy ass bible thumpers waiting for him to come back and tell them they have been good and get to go with him to hang out with god.

I say god has a sick sense of humor and sends the Messiah back in the form of say a monkey and saves all the monkeys leaving us to wonder what the hell did we do wrong? Hmm. The Crusades? The Inquisition? The Holocaust?

    I could go on..Global Warming?

Interesting that you should mention the "thief in the night" parable.

    Any way --

    Person --
–noun 1. a human being, whether man, woman, or child: The table seats four persons.
    2. a human being as distinguished from an animal or a thing.
    3. Sociology. an individual human being, esp. with reference to his or her social relationships and behavioral patterns as conditioned by the culture.
    4. Philosophy. a self-conscious or rational being.
    5. the actual self or individual personality of a human being:

    persona [per-soh-nuh]

    –noun,
    1. a person.
    2. personae, the characters in a play, novel, etc.
    3. the narrator of or a character in a literary work, sometimes identified with the author.
    4. (in the psychology of C. G. Jung) the mask or façade presented to satisfy the demands of the situation or the environment and not representing the inner personality of the individual; the public personality (contrasted with anima).

[Origin: 1175–1225; ME persone < L persōna role (in life, a play, or a tale) (LL: member of the Trinity), orig. actor's mask < Etruscan phersu (< Gk prósōpa face, mask) + -na a suffix]

[Middle English, from Old French persone, from Latin persna, mask, role, person, probably from Etruscan phersu, mask.]

Wearing a mask? New personality? New body maybe? While the true identity is hidden within?

    HAHAHAHA

Yes, the white bible thumpers will be very uncomfortable when Jesus spends his time in ghettos and hangs out with the poor, the crackheads and the prostitutes and all the other "unclean" "nonbelievers".

He won't make an appearance at my in-laws' ultrawhite ultraconservative ultrapresbyterian million dollar church, I can tell you that much.

I would pay, however, to see him sit with Jerry Falwell, though.

i'm curious to whether he believes the anti-christ to be one person. so many people claim that the words about an antichrist designate one specific individual.

Usually I am annoyed by posts that feel the need to point out the wealthy & the white in a default negative manner (it's pretty PC to do so), but in this case I 100% agree with this post.

Jesus would definitely be with the poor, the meek, the addicted, the needy, and the sick.

Antichrists-- against Christ, or an opposition Christ, a rival Christ. The word is used only by the apostle John. Referring to false teachers, he says (1 John 2:18, 22; 4:3; 2 John 1:7), "Even now are there many antichrists."
(4.) And to the "beast from the sea" (Rev. 13:1; 17:1-18).

Beast --- This word is used figuratively of an infuriated multitude (1 Cor. 15:32; Acts 19:29; comp. Ps. 22:12, 16; Eccl. 3:18; Isa. 11:6-8), and of wicked men (2 Pet. 2:12).

Antichrist means against or instead of Christ. The term applies to all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, all who oppose his Kingdom, and all who mistreat his followers. It also includes individuals, organizations, and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role of Messiah.

so this would not refer to Jehovahs Witnesses because they adhere strictly to the bible

Wait a minute --- so the bible is JESUS???????????

And who is to say their interpetation of the bible is the one and only interpetation?

    The Jehovah's can teach falsely.
    The Baptist can teach falsely.
    The Pentacostals can teach falsely.
    The Catholics can teach falsely.
    The Mormans can teach falsely.
All so called Christians can teach falsely.

There is a multitude of people who claim to be -- christians -- who can be teaching false doctrines.

When Jesus comes back... I have a feeling He is not going to be happy with the way we've screwed up His teachings and make us stay after and give His Sermon at the Mount again so we'll get it right this time.

for those who claim to believe in the Bible, it shouldn't be hard to recognize those that teach truth...the Bible is very cohesive.

the multitude of people who claim to be christians, who teach false doctrines twist the scriptures to their liking or simply interpret readings wrong, don't do enough research.

Or they simply follow the herd.

Not long ago - I sat with some Jehovah's. Nothing against them as people, just they sort of "scared" me a little.

At the time - I was into researching scripture for my writing projects concerning my mulitiple "near-death experience's." I told them I had over 25 different versions of various bibles dating back 2000 years. I told them I didn't care for the English versions as much as I did the Latin and the Aramaic languages.

(Did you know that in Aramaic [the language of Yeshua] the parables written about and spoken of Yeshua rhymed? Sort of a Bob Dylan of his time. The answer my friend is blowing in the wind.)

I am a very spiritual person when it comes to spiritual causes and effects. I was not used to discussing my spiritual beliefs with others verbally. They politely stated their "teachings" -- and then told me how wrong I was to believe I had "died" and then came back to life. They said it went against their teachings of the bible --- and therefore -- it was evil.

What happened after they left was evil. They attacked me spiritually. They sent "dark messengers" into my spiritual dreams to convert me to their beliefs. I called on the "spiritual" messengers of my knowing and I was informed the Jehovah's had applied a "spiritiual" prayer directed and aimed at me. It fell short (missed the mark) of the True Creators -- but was picked up by spiritual adversaries with "dark" intentions.

False Christians come in all denominations.

Or - they put their trust in a "false god" who works to blind us from the truth. Sort of keeps the herd mentallity heading in the opposite direction of truth.
