How bout practice anytime and not make any noise on a electric kit that sounds like an acoustic kit...and feed in sweet studio quality audio tracks to boot. There is no better or more professional situation available.
I bet I get in a lot more skin time (any time) than any acoustic player....and that's what really counts.
Have you ever played with a TD20?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

lol, the phrase "come down a couple G's" instantly made me aware that they are most likely out of my price range."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

Ridiculously expensive would be the proper term...it's hard to put a price on how much fun I've had with it though...it's so many kits in one....never boring.
The brains and drum units are all interchangeable (as far as I know), so you can mix and match everything together and reach a compromise, upgrade later, expand etc...
The TD 9SX is probably half the price (I would think) It sounds pretty nice and uses a lot of the dual triggering shells with rim triggering with the mesh heads and multi-triggered cymbals (the mesh heads are mandatory)

If you do decide, be extremely careful on Ebay...lots of scammers....check out the largest music store in your area so you can sit down at one with a nice pair of headphones...preferable a drums only store.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
