Well it sure as hell wouldn't be the first time this scenario has happened....(to put it lightly). The term "same old...same old" comes to mind....

" SOCHI, Russia, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, in a CNN interview Thursday, accused U.S. leaders of inciting the war in Georgia to influence the U.S. election.
"If my guesses are confirmed, I could suspect that someone in the U.S. triggered this conflict on purpose in order to escalate the situation and create a competitive advantage for one of the U.S. presidential
candidates," he said.
Robert Wood, a spokesman for the U.S. State Department called Putin's claim "ludicrous."
"Russia is to blame for this crisis, and the world is responding to what Russia has done," he said.
Putin, interviewed in the resort of Sochi on the Black Sea, said that the United States trained and equipped the Georgian army and incited President Mikheil Saakashvili to send troops to bring the breakaway region of South Ossetia.
"U.S. citizens were indeed in the area in conflict," Putin said. "They were acting in implementing those orders doing as they were ordered, and the only one who can give such orders is their leader." "

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

fuck vladamir putin and his government. and fuck that guy from rocky IV
It is tired politics, The whole thing! Russia invading a country, america not liking it but perhaps having other reasons.
But that's politics, goes around and around. Very few countries seem to be moving forward. They are just spinning around in a circle faster and think they are going someplace new.
You know, he's really from sweden? He was paid off by the americans to play a bad steroid taking russian.
American lies!
I wonder if you and your family were killed for some senseless reason if you would call it "politics". Politics is getting elected, this is life and death.
Simpleton
So, calling it life or death does what exactly?
Politics is just getting elected? Ok clown,
get a new playbook, your's is old and tired
so is your whining about what you don't like about me....
sorry but it's true...
so ditto on the playbook comment

well played. to his defense, I've noticed a few like him around here. its a shared playbook, not just his.
A little peek into US foreign policy is all one need to do
history is history.....what do you want me to do about it.....it's all true.
sorry if reality sucks for some people...but that's what the deal is.
boo hoo I guess..

is anyone going to explain to me why America instigated this and put their interests in the region at risk with little or no support beyond limpdicked condemnations?
as usual you make no sense.
Look into the past... it's not a stretch of the imagination by any means.
In fact it would be par for the course and business as usual.

Historical facts are called history and put into books for a reason....it's because they really happened.
So anyhow...call it far fetched....but that would be out of the ordinary given the factually historical track record.

put it this way... Obama's adviser...good ol "Zbig" the upcoming advisor to the newly elected US saviour...has openly stated he wants a new war with Russia....as in he believes it's not only desirable...but necessary.
The same guy that pulled all the shit in the past...yeah well he's back. In fact he never left.
far fetched assumption eh?

if you are such a genius man of history why are you ignoring Russia's ?
Perhaps it is a bit of conjecture, but still at this point the signs seem to show America as having something to do with this.
But again it's still early, not all the info is out yet and it would be wrong to come to a conclusion at this point. Time will tell what the truth is and I feel that we will know fairly soon.
History is the best guide, Both america and russia have dirty histories. Perhaps they both are to blame = in this? Perhaps the US set up a trap, Russia stupid enough to fall for it? Or perhaps Russia wanted to fall for it so it can use that as a reason to do something to the US? or some other country? Perhaps sell weapons to a place America may not like so much.
So many possibilities,
Last time I checked you don't have to be a genius to open up a history book, and I place more emphasis on whatever country is currently running their war machines at or near full throttle.
seems logical.

I suggest opening up those history books again. you missed the chapter on the USSR.
Who was wanting to put up a missile shield not too long ago on foreign soil?
hmm

a missile defense system? the US. and? my advice still stands, Russia's history is far from innocent. Georgia used to be under Russian rule. you at least knew that right?
no the logical thing is to recognize whats true in one instance may not be true in another and only form opinions based on factual evidence. you automatically take the point of view thats most anti-american, regardless of the facts, or the lack there of. you know you do this. you've already admitted you have no proof to back up your beliefs in this instance, and instead rely on your old standbys: assumption and prejudice.
i realize this concept may be impossible for you to comprehend, but please work to try.
but then again look who i'm talking to.
So extrapolation is not logical..
Ok if you say so.
You just turned science on it's ear...
edit: and I love how it gets personal so quickly for you...

looks like you will be around a lot longer after i'm banned., but i gotta vacation to flooded New Orleans coming up anyway.
That's you interpretation... you can feel free to entertain it within the confines of your thoughts in order to seek happiness from it. It changes little. You are biased against me and I could care less to change it. It is meaningless to me as to what you think about me on these issues really. When I start seeing factual information aside from opinion I might raise an eyebrow... however so few choose to go this route.
btw...was the going to New Orleans thing included at the end supposed to be something that people would be impressed by?
In any event...have a great vacation.
till next time.

Do you have factual information about why some people must always state how they don't care what others think of them or their opinions?
Never have I seen someone get so defensive, or have such a wall around them. I hope one day you find some warmth, my nemesis.
Ah...it's a long time trend here....It's called kill the messenger. I just like calling people out on it when they fail at addressing the facts, and just lower the quality of the thread with personal indifferences and other idiosyncrasies.
