How is that different from the vast majority of Democrat voters?

And really, why is it so surprising??! Even though they're all crooks a liars, at the end of the day they have a party platform and most people are probably voting that.

For example, I'm not voting for either candidate or party due to fundamental differences I have with their platforms, but if I were forced to vote at gunpoint for the lesser of two evils, I'd more than likely always vote Republican simply due to how the platform of the party aligns with my value set.

what aspects of the actual GOP align with your value set?

You say you are anti-war and fiscally conservative - they are neither.

If I get an answer to the questions I posed, perhaps I'll answer those.

I do consider myself conservative, but that does not mean I am gonna vote for the Republican nominee everytime. I really dont agree with most of the Dem views even more so when it comes to Obama. I think he is full of shit and you all are falling for it.
He will most likely be the next President so enjoy it.
I did think Bill Clinton was a great president. The problem was that the people in this country are a bunch of fucking hypocrites and turned on him b/c he let a young hottie blow him. Sorry but his wife should have been more on top of that shit. Who cares who he is banging? Just do your job.

what questions? ... oh ... didn't know you really wanted an answer ...

ok - it's different because as you see on this board - those on the so-called political left are divided - although obama is the consensus among democrats - his is not that popular here ... i think different vs. GOP ...

even the democratic primaries are more divisive then republican ones ...

For all the Obama supporters that will inevitably start complaining over the upcoming years?

There's going to be a lot of it, and perhaps we can all save everyone some time by preparing in advance...

    ;)

I am certainly not going to forfeit my critical thinking just because the candidate I support has been elected. He is a man, not god.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

So are you really trying to imply that the majority of those on the left won't vote for Obama just because he's the Democratic candidate?

And for my answer, I said that I have fundamental disagreements with the standard platforms of both parties but if forced to choose the lesser of two evils I would say that I agree in general more with the Republican side. That's hardly giving them a ringing endorsement.

I would say more 3rd party/spoiled votes would come from the left then right

Yeah - I know but I wanna know what part of that party's value set you actually are aligned with considering those are two very key issues.

Yep, they were neo conservative. Unlike many Obama supporters who are infact real conservatives, but think they are liberal, hmm maybe neo liberal?

Again - the words "lesser of two evils" doesn't even imply that my values are aligned with them at all. It just states that they are MORE aligned or closer to the Republican side of things.
