A lot of voters do not buy the official 9/11 story

Everyone thinks of terrorism and homeland security for lessons learned from 9/11. There is another opportunity. Make our government trustworthy and truthful.
The 9/11 truth movement is stronger than ever, though it is generally derided by politicians and ignored by the mainstream media. It is fueled by people passionate about alternative explanations to the official 9/11 story. Understandable, considering that the co-chairs of the 9/11 Commission admitted: “We were set up to fail.”
In 2006 Time magazine said: “The population of [the 9/11 truth movement] is larger than you might think. A Scripps-Howard poll of 1,010 adults last month found that 36% of Americans consider it ‘very likely’ or ‘somewhat likely’ that government officials either allowed the attacks to be carried out or carried out the attacks themselves. Thirty-six percent adds up to a lot of people. This is not a fringe phenomenon. It is a mainstream political reality.”
A 2006 Zogby International poll found that 42% of Americans more likely agree with people who believe that “the US government and its 9/11 Commission concealed or refused to investigate critical evidence that contradicts their official explanation of the September 11th attacks, saying there has been a cover-up.”
This year Zogby found that 31 perecent of likely voters do not buy the official 9/11 story [72 percent for ages 18 to 24 and nearly 60 percent for Hispanics and singles]; 51 percent still await a congressional investigation of Bush's and Cheney's actions before, during and after the 9/11 attacks [88 percent for ages 18 to 24 and 77 percent for Hispanics and singles]; and 67% fault the 9/11 Commission for not investigating the anomalous and still unexplained collapse of World Trade Center building 7.

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

i'll second that. call me when someone in the administration is indicted for murder and treason. oh yeah, it will never happen... you need evidence for that.0 -

what a joke, the majority of america is clueless about most political, environmental, and social issues so it's easy to sell them on anything. healthy debate is important, but ignorance without facts is no better than say, the ignorance of the NEOCON philosophy."Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)

Consider what Mark Twain wisely observed: “In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” Our patriotic crusade for 9/11 truth and systemic government reform is still at the first stage. Courage is needed to persevere. Truth does not come easy.
Ain't that the truth.

Regarding larry's own words, remeber the term "pull it" is supposedly not used in the demolition industry, according to popular mechanics.
But anyway enough sarcasm, it's interesting that there were no firefighters in building 7 as they had been ordered out at 11.30 that morning according to FEMMA, NIST and the fire chief.
But i'm sure someone here can put me right on what was actually meant by silverstien.Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The polls are showing it's more than a casual belief amongst a few people.
Apparently a lot more (and growing). And growing indeed.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

So you want to believe the NIST and FEMA when it is convenient. Communication was terrible that day. If the building was actually cleared at 11:30 and amongst the chaos the firefighters inside did leave, who's to say that firefighters later that day didn't attempt to fight the same fire. If the buidling was clear by 11:30, somehow miraculously verified to be clear, why wait the six hours to "pull it" as your evil man behind the curtain Silverstein mentioned, if you believe that is what he meant."The leads are weak!"

instead of wasting another entire thread hurling insults and arguing endlessly about theremite and exploding buildings,
can we just talk about the simple fact that 1\3rd of the polled respondents think the government was in some way complicit in the event, and that almost a full 50% think that there was, in essence, a cover up?
Lets just talk about that.
People think it smells fishy. People think the government didn't really do a good job investigating ... the numbers regarding the money spent on the investigation, and the words of some of the 911 comissioners themselves tell this story ... hell, one guy even refused to be part of the comission because he said "i read the Warren report and how bad we screwed that up, and i didn't want to be part of that." ...
So ... to conclude ... people think the government knew a lot more than it claimed ... as evidenced by even mainstream media reports regarding warnings ... people think they may have let it happen on purpose ... and lots of people think they refused to investigate on a level playing field.
Much more fun than exploding buildings, yes?If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -
There's a big difference between allowing the attacks to occur or having prior knowledge and carrying out the attacks themselves. But these people have been lumped together in one statistic. Its easy to make the percentages say what you want them to say when you do something like that.I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!0

So Rudy says the buildings were going to come down. So did I. There was no way that those buildings were going to stand after being hit by a jet liner.96 Randall's Island II

i at first didn't believe the conspiracy theories either but now i see the government has nothing to give as evidence to dispute it and there are way too many inconsistencies. disappearing disintegrating aircraft two on one day but never before in history. 3 steel buildings collapsing perfectly because of fire. never before in history but 3 in one day. 19 terrorists on board planes but not on passenger manifests. never before in history but 19 in one day. two separate towers collapse so conveniently diced in 30 foot steel sections. what a coincidence. people that worked in the towers noticing odd power shut downs and mysterious work being done weeks before the attacks.there is no doubt now in my mind that this was set up!

explain to me how someone can not be on the passenger manifest. did they just rock up at the airport and ask for any available seat? if so, then talk about sheer fucking luck. not to mention not an especially well thought out plan of attack. though it did work, so kudos to them for that.hear my name

The most i believe is they allowed it to happen. So why should i discount NIST, FEMA and the fire chief?
