wondering who went to the march...and what your thoughts were...??

i was there and was very glad i went. it felt very empowering...
i also respect the pro-war supporters freedom of speech...as well as our's who were there protesting the war...

we chanted "this is what democracy looks like!"

i think the big problem in this country lies when people are scared to say WHATEVER they want. this is supposedly what our country stands for and is exporting...so its good to see that we can still do that...

I posted this elsewhere a few days ago....
Oh my knees are killing me in part from playing with a 4 year old, got keep the young ones entertained. As for the turn out it was great near 20,000 or more I'm not really sure. I'd have pics but I left my camera on and the batteries died.

The peace marchers were mostly peaceful from what I could see. They were a few arrests of those who crossed a barrier to the Capital steps. Pro-War tried their best to intimidate or tempt me into a confrontation, "traitor" was one their favorite comments. They wanted none of me I just told them thank you and smiled, they got even more pissed off. What a bunch of angry people they were unbelievable and in front of small children. I almost lost it once though when made a comment about race mixing.

ALL and ALL....It was a truly memorable day one and one I won't forget anytime in the beautiful people I met and the not so beautiful people too.

    Peace

If I could add that this was sent from ANSWER Coalition. Also another observation I noticed..... After the March on the way back to the train station I took a careful into the eyes of people I saw as we walked. I walked carrying one of my favorite peace signs..."We can Bomb the World to Pieces, But we can't Bomb it into Peace"..Michael Franti musician. I wondered about those who didn't participate in the March what they thought of me and what we just did.

Strangely enough it seemed I saw fear in their eyes, a nervousness as to why would we want to get involved in protesting. It seemed some wanted to hurry away from me with little eye contact as my apparent stance made our walk so uneasy for them.

So I wondered even more as to what would change, what would get these folks energized enough to want to say something, do something, do anything? Would it be a loss of a child of there's in the war? I don't know but all we can do is hold unto the rights we have left, express them and leave those unaffected by the downstruction of what's happening to this country to other spiritual sources.

    Peace

cool song..nice groove. I like beats with one handed 16th notes on the hi-hat.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
