Yeah, these forums are pretty bad. Most of the Obama fans that i know have no fucking clue what his policies are about, what his plans are. They just hear his radio ads stating he'll have tough diplomacy with Iran and other rogue nations (Never happen) And he'd pull our troops out of Iraq (Never happen) and that he'd lower gas prices (Never happen) And how he'd help college students with insane student loans (Never happen)
Our 3 choices for president are shitty, but honestly...Hillary and Barack have very similar policies and beliefs. But i'd feel more comfortable with Bill as the first lady then Michelle Obama, one bitch of a lawyer.0 -

are they that dissimilar of terms?
Where is this even coming from? What does appease or pander have to do with this. He is saying exactly what he has for months.0 -

As per the original article:
"Barack Obama has begun to edge away from his offer to pursue talks with Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad after being hammered by Republicans as an "appeaser"."Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Yes, Roland, I read that. That was in the part of the article that the author put those words together. If you make your way down to the exact quotes from the Obama campaign you will see that Senator Obama is keeping the exact same position he has had for months.0 -

What was his position before the "months"
I say this because the article indicates some kind of change in his position.
I thought he was strong on diplomacy regardless. that article would seem to indicate otherwise right?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

He has stated for months that he would negotiate with nations such as Iran and Syria, with some conditions to attched before he would meet with them---which is exactly what this article says.
Exact quote:
"He wants to talk to the Iranian leadership," Bill Richardson, the New Mexico governor and Obama supporter told Fox television yesterday. "But he wants diplomatic preparation before doing that."0 -

So the title ("Obama backs off from pledge to talk with Iran") of the article is a misnomer is what you're saying?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

over specific principles, goals, and policies.

To say it is misleading would be appropriate, yes.0 -

So where do they get the notion that is it occurring from?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

I don't know. I know that I watch every news outlet and I would think that if this truly were the case--- it would be all over the networks. Fox, CNN, and MSNBC have not made a mention of it. It was the hot button topic earlier this week, so a shift in policy from the Obama campaign would really have been all over the news and McCain would be hammering him on it.0
