My big issue with global warming is people bitch, but don't do anything that would stop it. Biggest thing you can do to stop it is get rid of your car and ride a bike or walk like people do in most other countries.

  • Some perspective. The CO2 emissions for all the worlds volcanoes combined equals less than 1% of what man produces anually.

    those measly volcanoes...pffft...

No. The 2006 hurricane season was very quiet, saving numerous lives and billions of dollars.

I'm seriously dude. Water Vapor "accounts for most of the Earth's natural greenhouse effect".

It's more about ever growing population numbers using the sources of energy that are readily available. Each country's technology level v.s. population plays into the equation massively as well. Unless you are saying evil corporations are controlling all new discoveries in science with regards to energy production.

    Whose prediction?

Uh, just about every chicken little climatologist in 2005 said that 2006 was going to be as bad or worse - that climate change created the hurricanes, and it was the start of things to come.

Just because every prediction doesn't pan out doesn't mean the whole theory is bunk. No one can know everything and there are a lot of other factors that come into play with this.

Well, El Nino/La nina seems to have a LOT more to do with storm/temperature/hurricane predictability than climate change evangelists give credit for. We'll see hurricanes this summer. The chicken littles will say "See - global warming/climate change is at it again!" The rest of us will shrug and know that a La Nina trend can easily account for it.

I don't deny climate change occurs. But we've had cycles long before climatologists decided to give their particular sect of voodoo a name.

'Evangelists'....LOL! So that's the new catch phrase. Just be cause La Nina happens naturally doesn't mean that our reckless actions can't contribute to making it much more deadly.
