Roland, take a look at my posts from the past couple months... a very fair percentage of them are obvious joke posts. hell, check out my "contribution" to the Nugent thread.
I didnt know it offended you, and if it does, i am sorry. I was just joking because i always see "post edited by..." and wonder what the heck you're always changing.0 -

And your message?
I'm not one of those who takes comfort to being a non-entity in the process of assimilation going on. I'm not killing anyone.
Unless the opportunity presents itself.
Artistically speaking.

What's worse, the police infiltrating this demonstration, or the assholes in this thread who cannot take a joke? My vote: the assholes. It was three police officers anyway, quit ur bitchin' and get jobs.0

Oh, you gonna make a joke about my post? That's just like this board. I make a post and someone has to make a joke about it instead of talking about the point of my post.0 -

I'm not very good at making jokes. Jokes usually make themselves 'round here.

I saw this on the news last night. Absurd!
It's one thing for the Conservatives to try to degrade the Liberals in this way, but it's entirely a different thing for the Government to discredit the citizens they serve in this same manner.
There shouldn't be a war between Government and Citizenry. Whenever a portion of the citizenry is discontented with this type of secrecy, it should be the governments priority to rectify the problem, not exacerbate it.
What would happen if the agents were successful. It would appear that a bunch of headless apes rioted in opposition to something they don't understand. The nation dumbed down by their bubetubes would mostly relate to the "peaceful" appearance of the SPP and looked down upon the violent protesters. But, it is not so, has it ever been so? In this case, the government is the source of the violence, not the protestors and how many times has it been protestors?
You can't know. The discontent with the citizenry is over the secrecy of the SPP, Harper chose to deal with it by extending that secrecy and clandestine activity to agent provacateurs. Absolutely absurd.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -

Well I was like pulling teeth to try to introduce the SPP/NAU situation here. I got all kinds of endless repetitive nonsense slung at me for that.
Then, all the way along trying to show people it's actually real, people kept taking shots. Now that everyone actually knows it is real, and I'm shedding further light on it for what it really is, the criticism keeps coming.
So yeah...I'm a little touchy on the "you're crazy...."you're slipping/losing it" aspect over this topic at this point. Mostly because it's a pretty important issue.
Anyhow... don't worry about it. It happens.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

Yeah, they raised the draft age from 36 to 42 as well. I guess they're preparing for something potentially very huge.

Roland, Do you think police should be allowed to do any undercover work? If yes, are there areas that you feel should be out of bounds for them to do this work in?“One good thing about music,

i believe they should do anything, aslong as no predetermined mindset exists to obsruct justice and walk in the way of freedom for the citizens of my country. Otherwize, they make themselves and thier jobs enemies to the citizens they get paid to protect.we don't want war, but we still want more?0 -
as long as we have our television and scandulous celebrities - all will be forgotten!0

It doesn't. The allegation is that this was not straight forward undercover work, you know this. If they were just collecting information, this wouldn't be as big a deal (it would still be unnecessary harassment IMO, as the protesters were cordoned off and probably being filmed anyway).
Even if it is proven that they were trying to incite violence, it doesn't necessarily effect free speech directly. But indirectly, it would build the case for further protest restrictions, and give the public the perception that the people protesting the SPP are extremist radicals.
It really makes me wonder about the violence at past WTO protests. It is dirty, political policing, and there should be a massive independant investigation into this. It strikes at the very heart of democracy.0
