I'm an atheist, and I was riveted. Thought it was a great message, not at all preachy.
well, it is a great message cause that's what it was meant to be. just like it was meant to be preachy. he said it himself. just admit dude you love preachings...

"this could be the generation that ends extreme poverty."

Really, is that so much to ask of ourselves?

He wasn't grandstanding, he was asking very little, a small step, an important step.

Are you asking me to admit that I love preachings, or Bono? Sorry, it's late and I'm tired :)

I don't care who said it, the speech was great and so was his delivery. I'm an atheist but I appreciate the message and I believe that he meant every word he said. Its about time we had some articulate, coherent and passionate spokesman for issues that matter.
