Maybe if the Islamists don't like it then they can build a powerful military and try to attack us.
Otherwise, they can keep getting our missiles up their asses.
Well expect the same......sadly but that is your reality now......keeping feeding that fire and will jump out and bite your ass again.....and trust me I don't want it to but the way things are going I would not be surprised....puinishing an entire group of people to kill a few will only lead to bad things....
So now you telling me Islamists as a whole are bad? Because I know some pretty damn good friends that are great people regardless of their beliefs....

Yes, Islamists as a whole are bad.
Is·lam·ism (s-lämzm, z-, sl-, z-)
n.
1. An Islamic revivalist movement, often characterized by moral conservatism, literalism, and the attempt to implement Islamic values in all spheres of life.
2. The religious faith, principles, or cause of Islam.
The "in all spheres of life" part is where it gets nutty.
All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

You have a very ignorant way of thinking of some people that are different...especially culturally.....quite disturbing....so you are saying Muslims, who practice Islam, are all bad....that my friends are inherently evil?
No wonder a vast # of these people hate your country....no big surprise with rhetoric like yours....but we live in a free world where we can be open with our opinions so say what you may....
Also Islamists, is this another coined term to lump terrorism with the religion of Islam...because it damn well seems that way to me....
Enough to know that their entire moral system is built on irrational principles.
For example, Muslims believe that all morality comes from "faith," essentially, all moral teaching comes from a literal understanding of the Koran and other holy books. If Allah says it is okay to kill an innocent person, then it is okay to kill an innocent person. If he says it is wrong to kill an innocent person, then it becomes wrong to kill an innocent person. There morality is based solely on the literal word of Allah and nothing else.
The problem with this belief is that it is opposed to reason. Because Muslims believe that Allah created human beings, then it opposes reason to believe that Allah would allow one of his innocent creations to be killed for no reason. Allah could never make a law that opposes his own intent and purpose for creation, but according to Islamic teaching, he could do this if he wanted to.
Essentially, Allah would not create mankind only to create a system of morality that resulted in mankind's murder.
When a moral system is built solely on faith from a holy book, it is irrational. God could never say that it is moral to kill innocent human beings - it is an irrational belief. But, Muslims believe that God could say that.
Therefore, Islam is irrational.
Unless you can prove me wrong, I will assume you know nothing about Islam.
All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

"Canada is a sweet country. It is like your retarded cousin you see at Thanksgiving and sort of pat him on the head. You know, he's nice but you don't take him seriously. That's Canada. Canada is essentially a stalker, stalking the United States, right? Canada has little pictures of us in its bedroom, right? It's unrequited love between Canada and the United States. We, meanwhile, don't even know Canada's name. We pay no attention at all."
I asked if You read the quran and you (in as many words) basically said no, but you have read what you believe was enough to reinforce you belief that islam is crap. You have faith in your view of this?
Now you see, Islam like most religions has it's basic points, Islam teaches and stresses to be honest, it stresses the need for education, healthy eating, equal rights, charity and meditation and such, now are these things "crap"? to you, maybe, I don't know. But for me these things are far from crap.

A muslims morality is not limited at all on the quran or just holy books, you see my friend, you would've known this if you read it or even studied the religion. so obvioulsy I can tell that you have not done these things. infact what you said really does'nt even make sense. you could not be more far off.
I don't really know what else to say, oh I know, read the quran.

So in other words its pretty much the same as christianity in America?
So in other words its pretty much the same as christianity in America?
If you're referring to things like "God hates fags", yes. I hate George Bush, hate his religious idiocy, and hate his homophobic policies. But I don't know of anyone who would be worse off living under him than the likes of Hussein, Taliban and yes - America/Britain's puppet government in Afghanistan now.
A restaurant with a smoking section is like a swimming pool with a pissing section
So honestly view Islamist society in Somalia "pretty much the same as Christianity in America"?
Seriously?
lol I know this is what I was thinking.
sure, there are some cooky christians in this country but 99% are law abiding, peaceful people. the same can not be said about Islam in Somalia. or even in countries like Iran where the chant death to america daily. do american christians even come close to something like that?

I think searchlightsoul has a point based on the definition of 'islamist' Whore gave...
I dont see his point at all. then again I may be out of touch with christianity in america.
An Islamic revivalist movement, often characterized by moral conservatism, literalism, and the attempt to implement Islamic values in all spheres of life.
In my opinion, there is a Christian right (moral conservatism), they often have a pretty literal belief of the bible e.g. creationism, miracles of Jesus and they attempt to implement Christian values in all spheres of life as well.
I could be wrong, of course, but this is how I see it. Based on that definition, I'd say searchlightsoul definitely has a point.
all religions...but thats not why we're fighting in this world..its cause of power..thats it nothing else....ah ah..oh never mind...religion is also about power.

ok sure I see the point BUT christians do not use violence and death to implement those values like extreme islam
huh? I'm no expert on the KKK but I dont think they have anything to do with christianity. even if they did, thats a bit of a stretch to use as an example. nobody cares what they say or even that they exist. its not 1880 anymore

The US is carrying out further air strikes in southern Somalia against Islamist fighters, who the US believes include members of an al-Qaeda cell.
The targets were reported to have been tracked by aerial reconnaissance and then attacked by a US gunship launched from a US military base in Djibouti.
The US says Somali Islamists sheltered al-Qaeda operatives linked to the 1998 US embassy bombings in East Africa.
The Somali transitional government says many people were killed in the raid.
The air strikes took place a few days after the Union of Islamic Courts, which had taken control of much of central and southern Somalia during the past six months, was routed by soldiers from Ethiopia and Somalia's transitional government.
Location of militias and US Navy patrols
The US accused the Islamists of having links to al-Qaeda - charges they denied.
Witnesses told the BBC Somali service that the town of Afmadow was being bombed on Tuesday.
Afmadow is 250km north of Ras Kamboni, close to the Kenyan border, which was hit by air strikes on Monday afternoon.
"My 4-year-old boy was killed in the strike," Mohamed Mahmud Burale told the AP news agency from near Afmadow.

AP says three other civilians have been killed but these reports have not been independently verified.
There has been no official confirmation from the Pentagon that the air strikes took place, but correspondents say a statement is expected within hours.
"So many dead people were lying in the area. We do not know who is who, but the raid was a success," interim government spokesman Abdirahman Dinari told AFP news agency about Monday's raids.
"The target was a small village called Badel where the terrorists were hiding. And the gunship did hit on the exact target," he said, adding that Somali and Ethiopian troops were nearby.
Another village, Hayo, was also targeted.
The bombing is the first overt military action by the US in Somalia since 1994, the year after 18 US troops were killed in Mogadishu.
The attack was carried out by an Air Force AC-130, a heavily-armed gunship that has highly effective detection equipment and can work under the cover of darkness.
After fierce fighting, Ethiopian and Somali forces said on Monday that they were on the verge of capturing Ras Kamboni, one of the Islamist's last strongholds, where many fighters were dug in.
Many other Islamist fighters are in hiding across the country.
Somalia's interim President Abdullahi Yusuf backed the US action.
"The US has a right to bombard terrorist suspects who attacked its embassies in Kenya and Tanzania," he said in Mogadishu, a day after entering the city for the first time since the Islamists withdrew.
The BBC's Adam Mynott in Nairobi says the attack seemed to be an opportunistic attempt by the US to destroy an al-Qaeda cell that they had been tracking for some time.

The cell is accused of responsibility for the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and Dar Es Salaam, in Tanzania.
More than 250 people died in the two attacks.
The US also holds the same group responsible for attacks on an Israeli aircraft and Israeli-owned hotel in Kenya in 2002, in which 15 people died.
Meanwhile, the US military said on Tuesday it had sent an aircraft carrier to join three other US warships conducting anti-terror operations off the country's coast.
