I'll pass on the Rolling Stone TP, but I guess if the situation arises it can also be used as TP."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

Wow, im getting a lot of people agreeing with me. I didnt know this many people disliked Rolling Stone as much as I do.
lol@"I live in England and am fortunate that the shop near to where I work in London sells Rolling Stone. It is partisan, but that's fine by me. As the previous poster says, it's o.k to be partisan when you're right."
Talk about drinking the Kool-Aid. As much as the American stereotype is fat, dumb, lazy, and rich. The European stereotype is "belive every left-wing thing we read," dont most Europeans belive Bush planned 9/11? Who acts more like sheeple, the Republican base or the we-hate-Bush crowd?
I will read the occasional Rolling Stone political article. Along with Air American and Rush Limbaugh. I enjoy hearing all sides of politics. But I get frustrated at crap articles like this.Chicago '98, Noblesville '00, East Troy '00, Chicago '00, Champaign '03, Chicago '03, Chicago1 '06, Chicago2 '06, Milwaukee '06, Chicago1 '09, and Chicago2 '090 -

The Europeans are just as myopic and reactionary as the Americans are ... They just happen to be on the right end of the political spectrum for this message board, so they catch less crap from people here.0 -

No, Europeans don't believe Bush planned 9/11. However, a lot of people believe that he 'allowed' it to happen. The evidence is there for all to see.0 -

Rolling Stone might be one of the worst magazines ive ever seen. I think Bush is a retard, I think 90% of the Republicans in Congress are retarded. But, when I see the this cover story, it makes me wonder if the Democrats are ever going to win. Didnt the Democrats and their friends in the media(Rolling Stone & others) learn that just bashing the other side wont win?
Repubicans have a HUGE base, I think in the last 37 years only 2 Democrats have won the White House. This "Republicans suck" campaign only energizes Republicans and get them out to vote. As much as I would love the Republicans to lose, I have absolutly no interest in reading a magazine that says "Worst Congress Ever". Its like a contest of who can be more one-sided, Rush Limbaugh or Rolling Stone. At least Rush can be funny.
Republicans suck, but they kick ass when it comes to winning elections. They even got Bush to win a 2nd term! Democrats are just plain stupid and are failing more and more every election season.
Looks like ill be voting all Libertarian again.
First, the Republicans are in control of this country as they control ALL branches of government, which has led to abuse in power and corruption. It's been like this for the past 6 years. Since they are the ones in control they are on the chopping block. So you're mad at democrats for bashing the Republicans...that's exactly how the Republicans won the past elections from bashing the Democrats, lol.
The question is, are you happy with the way the Republicans are running the country? Most importantly are your representatives representing how you want this country run? Have they been honest and trust worthy? Have they made the right decisions? If not it's time to replace them no matter what party they are in. Now I plan on voting for the democrats because I am very unhappy with the way the Republicans have run the country. Now am I positive that the democrats will do a better job? No, but I know for a fact that the Republicans have done the worst job in running this country in my entire lifetime so it's time for a change. There is one democrat that I will not be voting for and that's the NY State Comptroller, he has abused his power as he has taken money from taxpayers so his wife could be driven around. He claims that many NYS politicians do the same but his number one job is to make sure that the state government does not do things like this. He has failed so he has to go too.
I think the most important thing in this election is there needs to be a balance in power so one party can't run the country into the ground and divide the country like this again."...believe in lies...to get by...it's divine...whoa...oh, you know what its like..."0 -
I know hat ya mean. I use to love RS, and still do as far as music is concernd. But politically its jus way to one sided.I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.0 -

First, I was responding to a post in this thread by the author. Second, the Rolling Stone Magazine has a VERY long history regarding political issues and politicians so it's not like they started with Bush and his asinine policies. If you only wish to read about musicians and music then buy some lame magazine like Circus Magazine or something like that. My guess is you probably only want to look at pictures anyways."...believe in lies...to get by...it's divine...whoa...oh, you know what its like..."0
