    I agree with you.

The only way to achieve true racial harmony is for racists like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to stop saying things like "the black community".

You can't have racial equality when those assclowns insist on perpetuating segregation.

I HAVE heard of reverse discrimination.

But if you make this statement about Obama, then I highly doubt you could ever not be scarred of a black candidate...black democrat anyway.

Acknowledging a "black community" isn't perpetuating segregation. It's pointing out that there's a common culture and history for the majority of the black population. The fact is, the "black community" does exist. Denying that isn't called equality, its called being ignorant.

The key is to acknowledge all these different cultures and communities and have them coexist without any discrimination or negative stigma. We should celebrate the fact that we have all these various cultures in our country, not try to hide it like you seem to be suggesting.

But yeah, JJ and Sharpton definitely cross the line occasionally, I'll agree with you there.

There will never be true racial equality when one race accounts for most of the population, and the other accounts for only a small percentage. This isn't a question of equality, it's a question of representation. That's why minorities typically form groups like this. It's not about having pride in their "culture", it's about sticking together as a minority to make sure they aren't under-represented in the community, in the courts, in the workforce, etc. as minorities so often are. We see the same types of groups form amongst black people as we do with gay people, for example. It's not a racial thing.
