i personally wouldn't have stopped it...i might have slowed down beside where the kid was and pick up my cell phone, act like i'm making a call and talking then drive past...:D

when i was in middle school someone from the street threw a coconut shell at the bus and it hit some kid in the head and they had to go back to school for a few minutes
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

psh i agree with yaaa again even tho im only 14 and half but i still get an opinion. and uh not to be weird but i think its funny if u happen to drive by a bus and some random dude moons ya.. haha thatd prolly make my day....

oh sorry! I wasn't trying to tell you that you couldn't have one! :o of course you are entitled to your opinion. :)

And I totally get it! I used to love it when the school bus broke down and we got to be late for school.

Must be something about Aussie kids but it's kinda the thing to do here, moon folks from the school bus!! Happens ALL the time!! :D

Actually I can even remember being on the bus back in the day and one of my friends mooned this old lady in a bowls hat!! Thought she was gonna have a heart attack!! :D See? It's dangerous! ;)

Some kid a couple of years older than me, when I was in sixth grade, hopped a jump across the street from the school at the Dairy Queen, lost control of his dirt bike, laid it out on the street, and slid underneath a school bus only to have his head crushed as the bus pulled away from the school.

I sat next to the girl in class who was sitting on the bus over the wheel that crushed his head.

  • There would have to be some kind of damage to my car, or I couldn't get the plate for some reason.

I was on a public transit bus about 10 years ago and one of the people in our group (5 guys) did the same thing with a McDonalds chocolate milkshake. smuck...landed perfectly right on the windshield.

    Bullseye!

The guy cuts the bus off. Long story short. The driver kicks us off....we were too rowdy anyways.

We got off...stopped...and looked at the guy like...so what are you going to do now?...he just looked back at us mumbled some shit like...what the fuck and went back to his car. That was probably a very wise decision for him.

It was a shitty (and dangerous) thing to do.

So... one of my coworkers is telling me this story....

Yesterday on his way home from work (morning) a kid chucked a water bottle out of the school bus window and hit dude's truck. So...

He drives his truck infront of the bus and stops it and gets out. He's lipping off the bus driver saying it's their fault the kid is acting up. The bus driver tells him to file a complaint with the school board, and so dude calls the cops. The cops show up and are like "Wtf do you want?" and so he says he wants to talk to the kid who threw the bottle. I guess the kid finally came off the bus scared shitless and dude got what he wanted.

It seems kind of ludicrous to me. Anyone here do something like that?

ludicrous? have you any idea what can happen if the driver whose car/bus/ truck is hit over reacts. i have a friend who is a bus driver. one night he had a rock thrown at his bus. it flew through the window and hit him in the head. he could have crashed that bus. passengers and innocent bystanders could have been injured or even killed. fortunately he was experienced and skilled enough to deal with the situation with a level of professionalism and proficiency. kids need to realise that their actions have consequences. you don't fucking throw shit at moving vehicles.
and yes damn straight i would have stopped that bus. but i wouldn't have gotten the cops involved cause that kinda makes it official. i would have scared the living shit out that little punk arse kid.
like everyone else, bus drivers have a duty of care. he needed to be told the kids on his bus were acting inappropriately. and that they quite possibly put lives in danger. i would have issued the offending kid with a warning. i would have informed his school of the incident. and i would have made sure the parents were told.
over reaction? no, not at all.

I always chuckle when I see kids act up like that. I like to see a little bit of spirit still burning inside them. I know it's wrong and a lot of parents here don't find this funny at all. But as much as kids have to put up with from adults. I mean their parents usually never listen to them and treat them like they aren't as important and shouldn't be taken seriously like 'big people' should be. It's no wonder kids act out like this. It's nice to know you can't break them all. Flame away.

how can you say this, "little bit of spirit still burning inside them" i wouldn't call it spirit i would rather call it fucking attitude. kids these days have no manners, just because they act like total twats doesn't make them funny or interesting.
What kind of individuals are going to be your own children, if you think like this.
I'm 19, i was a kid, and i believe that i'm still a kid sometimes. But i always tried to act my best. My so called "schoolfriend" once dared me to throw a bottle from the bus window, but i didn't cause it was a stupid thing to do. She called me a chicken or something like that. I presonally didn't give a fuck, cause i'm not a sheep and never was, and i hope i never will be.
A lot of children used to didn't like me because i'm my own person.

The only time when i will see a spirit burning inside someone, is when i see a person with no money or friends or lacking something they want and then achieving whatever it is they want. Like for example Laird Hamilton who enjoyed surfing, so each time he pushed himself forward thus achieving his big wave ride.

kids in these story are spoilt brats who should've been spanked more :D

though i am against spanking children.

    nah, i don't think so.

I don't think driver should have reponsibility for this, cause his/her main priority is the road, not teaching kids how to behave themselves.
But i support the guy stoping this bus, good one him. I don't think i would've stopped the bus, unless my car got damaged.

I'm not sure about this Jeanie, they get enjoyment from being violent and anti-social. They are bored and have little brain to figure out what kind of hobby they can have, so they go out and offend others. It's what they call "fun". I think they do understand what they're doing.

i disagree genie for the reasons i've outline in my previous thread. once the driver is aware of the infractioin, he is responsible to a degree. it is up to him to approach the kid and tell him what is expected of him if the child wants to continue enjoying the privilege of a bus ride home. if the child continues to disrepect the driver and what is expected of him as a bus patron, then he's walking home as far as i can see.
bus drivers are not invisible. they are entitled to the same amount of respect as the rest of the community. they are entrusted with the lives of our children afterall.

Then adults should be punished too

Yes, bus drivers are entitled to the same amount of respect.
But it is hard to drive a bus and also look at what children are doing in the background, it's difficult to foresee the bottle being thrown out.

Well I'm sure that some of them do genie. I'm quite sure that some of them are delinquents. But I'm also sure that some of them just go skylarking about and they don't really fully understand the consequences of their actions.

Either way, they still need to be stopped and shown that it's not the right thing to do. :)

I once held up a sign in the back of my bus that said "Sex can wait masturbate" when I was in fourth grade. Some lady read the sign in a car behind us and took offense to it. So she wrote down the bus number and everything and called it in. The next day at school I was greated by the principal... The lady who reported it also noted that I was the only red head on the bus...I got caught and kicked off the bus for a week.

I swear I should have been given a medal or something I was punished for doing something good... I was promoting safe sex by having no sex...except for with "Miss Michigan"
