it's not a big deal really, loads of people partying, long lines, frustration, general airport annoyance a few bad apples etc.

There were a ton of people in Vegas between the NBA alstar game and the MAGIC convention. Arrests happen, I bet it wasn't much more crazy than say new years eve or any other huge event.

I don't know man how often do you hear about hockey players getting in shit? like aside from the ones that get all the press, bertuzzi and Heatly, Jose Theordre's family had tax problems or something and Pronger wanted a trade, other than that I can't think of much, nothing like the NBA and NFL

Vegas just needs a better arena for both football and basketball and it might be perfect the next time around.

Damn if it wouldn't be the best permanent destination for the Pro Bowl (an actually achievable destination for many fans) and the NBA All Star game.

They have the hotel rooms, the only issues really are crime (simply add extra police and security for the weekend and ban Pac Man Jones) and traffic and traffic sucks all the time.

It may be the only town in the US uniquely equipped for these types of events.
