True, but the smallpox was introduced by "white man". No white man, no smallpox.

It's kind of like Bush launching a war on Iraq and declaring we were liberating them at the same time. Now that's some fucked up logic.

White man didn't invent smallpox. The hopi were eventually going to be introduced to it anyway. Do you think they could have kept their little spot shielded from the world forever?

i'm not the one with the limited view of natives (partially being that i'm a quarter myself). but its people like him and hollywood that perpetuate the stereotype of the wise old indian mystic who talks about vision quests and spirits and how peaceful and naturefriendly americans were before the europeans. i'm so fucking sick of that shit. that video made me nauseous.

I'm 44 years old and I know what you mean by the perpeptuation of Native American stereotypes coming out of Hollywood.

The difference is that I don't see that stereotype in this presentation at all.

Q: What do you see, then?
A: I see an elderly man who is personable and world-wise.
Q: Nevermind that he is Native American?
A: In the greater scheme of things, yes.

Weren't very close to the earth, or acting as Guardians of it then, were they?

killing 80 percent of animals is not in the same order of magnitude as wiping out the natives of an entire continent. its your forefathers who did that, englishmen, (not americans). they are the real black pot.

most or at least a very significant part of western philosophy isnt western at all in origin, but is originally judaic. including concepts such as armagedon and judgement day.

i didn't think the native america people wiped out the large mammals.
it is the bison or buffalo you are refering to.

people like buffalo bill cody shot hundreds of thousands of bison/buffalo for the fun of it.
which led to the death of many, many millions of these bison/buffalo you are referring to.

buffalo bill cody if i remember correctly had blonde hair and was as white in skin tone color as a sheet.

    yes.
indian folks in the rainforests of south america that do not get out of
the rainforest much do not have the same kind of illnesses like the other parts of the world.

isn't it a proven fact that during indian/whiteman wars that the u.s. military
gave out blankets to cold hungry indians; the blankets being infested with small pox?

small pox infected blankets were only one of many tactics used.

the new world was formed on the back of the biggest crime on humanity.

    pritty much I.S.
it was and still is one of the worst crimes on humanity.
why is it still a crime today?
i feel the words/thoughts used in the video at the start of this thread are very accurate.

so much is out of whack.
i do try not to dwell in it.
i do try to do what's best for this earth, myself, and for others.
