How do you feel about swearing and cursing in songs? How do you feel about derogatory labels?
There is a sharp trend coming to curb certain words in music. Do you think it will be good? Do you think it will be bad? do you think it will, in anyway, affect future PJ recordings? I know most of the heat right now is on rap, coming out of the Don Imus thing, but if standards are set for the entire music industry, what then?
I personally believe the more you restrict something, the more popular it becomes. So as lyrics get dirtier and dirtier, the allure of listing to Parental Advisory sticker albums is less glossy. People get used to certain words and dont' care anymore. Global restrictions are just going to create another 2LiveCrew. A crappy band made famous by pushing an envelope.
i think that you should be able to say whatever you please. If i or anyone is upset by it, we have the option of not listening.
