Bottom line....if you are at war, and you have the enemy, you do what is necessary to get the answer you want.

    If your talking about Iraq....Good for you one problem we are not at war in Iraq, it's an occupation period. An occupation where a civil war is occuring between Shiites and Sunni, Kurds stirred up by us being their.

    The War is used by this administration to get folks like you to back whatever actions they continue to do in Iraq including torture, good luck too ya.

    i oppose torture becos even military leaders say torture is a bad way to get good information. so it's useless. it does nothing but make us look as sadistic as suicide bombers. and that's not really something i want to be associated with unless there's a really good reason.

    nevertheless, it's not the way to win a war. not that the war in iraq can be won by the US in any event, torture or not.

    Or are is this more directed towards the "war on terror?", in which case torture for sure is not the way to go, if anything you will just create more anger and more hate. unless that's what america really wants, hmmmm.

    They claim they actualy are helping soldiers desert to other countries.

    Torture is barbaric in any form, regardless of how your enemy behaves.

    Lead by example, and use your superior EVERYTHING to win, but NOT torture.

    I don't really give a shit about the person being interrogated, but I don't think torture gets to the truth. I think torture makes the person being tortured say whatever they need to say to get the torture to stop. It is a horrible interrogation method.

    Torture...why lower ourselves because we've been blasted with the concept that we are in a "War" and we must win at all cost. America should set the example for the world if we're to go down this road however as you may know America has gone the other way. In that we've done and are STILL doing RENDITIONS and sourcing them to other countries just get away torturing without being blamed specifically.

    If its as extreme as you say it is, why even bother torturing them? Why not just nuke them all? They're a danger to our society, right?

    I used to be pretty conservative, but over time have become a damn dirty hippy. We are not torturing them, the way I see it. We are torturing ourselves. We're all on this planet together. We can bicker all we want, but in the end we're all the same.

    I'm seriously sick of nationalism. I'm all about individualism. Thats just me though. If you want to be a robot and follow the rest of your gang, good for you. Just don't fuck with me. Generally, I don't like about 2/3 of the people I meet, most of which are people who would kill for a belief anyways.

    I'm not saying they are right, but killing and torturing because of a conflict in views on life is pretty fucking primitive if you ask me. It's the easy way out. Thats what thugs in gang wars do. You can't solve the problem, so you paint the other side evil and live for their destruction. You need to feel part of something bigger, and in order to do that, you need to bring your enemies down.

    Don't look to me for the answers though. I'm just observing how silly people on all ends of the spectrum look to me from my point of view in this life.. We'll all be dead in 100 years anyways, so I guess if killing and torturing is your thing to help self preserve yourself and your ideas for a few more years, go ape shit!

    Why bother to interrogate when the objective is to kill everyone on that side anyways?

    It's an occupation. The enemy force (resistance) is growing in response to the occupation. It doesn't just magically stop. The resistance stops when the occupation stops. Cause...effect...

    Judging by the amount of explosions going off in Iraq and occasionally around the globe and that capture of the Bin-man a year ago, I think that the torture routine is doing wonders for getting answers.
