  • He has charisma,
and for all those millions that seem to think government should and can fix the world, he is the great black hope.
    :D

I personaly think he is only 15% better than the current racket in terms of PERCEIVED honesty only.

I hear a lot of people on the board screaming about the negatives of a "free market" and how bad corporations fuck us.

But i also see a lot of people on here who don't understand that the corporate entity is not something created by the constitution (or inherently protected by it) and rather is created by much subservient laws that can be altered or changed to the benefit of the people with out all kinds of ADDITIONAL regulation and misguided policy.

Beyond that, there are a bunch of folks who think the government should be involved in trying to force healthcare.

If you're view is that the government should manipulate by brute force, and you are also looking for a "likeable" guy, you are probably going with Obama. Besides, his repetition of the "hope", "dreams", and "change" mantras are pretty inspiring if you are a superficial politco.

I personaly believe that the most important (and most constitutionaly acceptable) thing a government should be doing for us is to ensure the soundess of our money ("make no coin legal tender except silver and gold") and therefore guarantee personal wealth and the ability to pursue hapiness as WE see fit.

If you had a strong dollar in your pocket, you could afford your own damn healthcare, without lots of added regulatory bullshit. And lets not even talk about income tax.

    :D

If I opened it now would you not understand?

  • 3 words "face value politico's"

Lift up the covers on Obama and it's a verry different picture altogether.

Another all show and no go candidate. Unless you like war, the patriot act, and more the same bush doctrine then he's your man.

    NWO backwards.... is OWN ;)

    And what i'm hearing is:

All I hear from the Ron Paul people is:

"I prefer my rapist tell me how special I am and that he will divorce his wife and change...when his wife has him by the balls and there's no way he can make change even if he wanted to"

So you are saying we are fucked and should just calmly resign to our fate?

    I LOVE this assertion.

Its like the patient going to the oncologist and being told, "look, you've got malignancies in your arm and leg. We have to amputate before they spread. If we do this, you won't have an arm and leg, but you will survive."

The patient responds, "Ah. Shit Doc. I'm doomed. Well, can you give me anything for the pain?"

Doc: "Did you hear me? I said we just need to amputate your arm and your leg. You will live!"

Patient: "Ah doc! You did your best! I can't let my arm and leg go. Just give me some pain killers for the ride."

    Doc: "Hhwhaatt?"

    ::sigh::

No one said change is easy.
But why you wouldn't be willing to try is just pure laziness and hopelessness.

The deck is certainly stacked against us,
but that doesn't mean you just give up and quit the game.

Not if your life savings and liberty are on the line.

    Nope.
Paul is polling 3rd in early entrance polls for NH.

    It's this bullshit that I can't handle.
People who approached the 2000 election with this attitude and voted 3rd party or didn't vote at all drive me nuts. There is a difference. Would we be where we are as a country had the popular vote won out? No, we wouldn't.

If you resign yourself to this same old bullshit mantra then you deserve whatever silly metaphor you want to use.

what's wrong w/ voting 3rd party if they best represent your values/ideals?? I thought that's what you were supposed to vote on?

i don't see all the hype...how can he be the 'anti-establishment' candidate when he's backed by and votes for the credit card industry, the nuclear industry as well as others? you can't claim to be progressive when you follow the status quo

google "obama cfr" and read away. read up on the cfr, their members, and their agenda.

for fun you can also google "hillary cfr", "guiliani cfr", "mccain cfr", "romney cfr".. well basically every candidate - except ron paul.

i know a lot of people like obama. he's on the young side, he's very charismatic, and he makes you feel warm and fuzzy when he sings his song about "change". but when it comes down to it, and you look beneath all that stuff, he's just another establishment puppet.

He's black, that's whats special about him. Nothing else, oh yeah, He speaks sorta well. well better than the others.

I mean policy wise, he is just so close to the others, why can't people see it? I bet if he was white, most obama supporters here would not even notice him bcoz he would be just like all the others, oh yeah...excpect he speaks sorta well.

Every candidate except Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, and Mike Gravel actually.

The same three that are being marginalized by the media.

Yup, it's the media's fault for not trumpeting a candidate that has no chance in hell to get elected...

I agree with this 100% If you're a baseball fan of any team besides the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, or Mets you are screwed when it comes to national coverage. Why do they get the most publicity? Big markets. It sucks but that is the way it is.
