I just went to pick up Ice Cream for my family and there was a gentleman selling Obama T-shirts. He did not offer me if I wanted to purchase one, but he did offer every other black person walking by one to purchase. Now I would not have bought one but my state went for Obama how does he know I did not vote for him or supported him.

I still don't understand why you feel offended... I mean, yeah, if you did, you did. But, seriously... you had no intention whatsoever of buying one, right... were you offended because you were not given the opportunity to respond, 'No.' to the guy?
I mean, for me... if I don't want something from a street vendor... I'm glad they don't bother me. Like those people that try to hand out flyers for Scientology of 'Jesus Saves' pamphlets in Hollywood... I don't want that stuff. To me, it's just them handing it out to me so I can put it in the trash, not them. I would much rather them bother the next guy, so I don't have to tell them, "No".

I'm not trying to single out anyone in this thread including the OP, but I think there are a number of whites and non-blacks in this country who voted for Obama and who think that doing so should suddenly earn them the respect and friendship of all blacks all across the country.

Offended? I'd be thrilled not to be accosted by yet another political ploy to get me to contribute to ANY campaign. Seriously. I'll be very happy not to be offered another "opportunity" to buy a shirt or button or sticker for another few years.

I must have picked that up while channel surfing.
But, you know what I mean, right? I HATE getting handed one of those pieces of paper because I see hundreds of copies on the ground.
They need to hand them to you... and have a big recycle bin 5 steps past them. Better yet, they really need to take that shit and do everyone a favor and just dump it in the recycling bin as soon as they come back from the printers.
