Taxes will increase many multiple times.

Illegal aliens will be rewarded for breaking our laws.

Al-Qaeda will flourish in Iraq since we supposedly will not be there.

There was no terrorism in Iraq until US troops got there.

I find it hard to believe that there was absolutely NO Al queda in Iraq before the US invaded. First off, they are everywhere.....and secondly, why would they come from Other places like Pakistan (where they are safe) too an extremely hostile and patrolled Iraq.

There was no Al Qaeda until the CIA created them.

They went to Iraq to fight a war. They weren't trying to hide out. Iraq brought them out of the woodwork, because this was their new cause.

Won't quibble with points two and three.

But your taxes went up under Bush? really? Because mine went down ... significantly ... even though I make more money now than I did eight years ago (or even four).

There are a lot of qualms I've had with Bush's eight years. His taxation policy isn't one of them.

then why didn't the state department add them to the list of countries w/ terrorism until after the occupation??

do you have anything other than cheneys assertion that they were in iraq prior to the occupation?

Don't worry, they will be plenty of America bashing to keep people occupied.

And some of it's well deserved, but it just gets a little old reading the same shit all the time. Negativism doesn't accomplish much, in my experience. Pointing out every problem is the easy thing to do. I think I'd rather work towards solutions. The first step is getting rid of the torture and spying on our own people. Maybe we could figure out how to insure the poor elderly and children that didn't mean less choice. People are hungry, it's not that hard to feed them. There is plenty of room for improvement. I think it's not impossible.

My hunch is that these people will never stop bitching, even if America theoretically got on track somehow. Once they actually acknowledge that America is on the right track, they're knocked down to our level of intellect, which is the worst possible fate in their minds. I think it's a superiority thing more than anything else.

    1. You mean the deficit will go down.

    2. McCain is for amnesty how is this a consequence of a Dem being elected?

    3. You're an idiot.

    1. No I mean we are going to get taxed blind, unless you don't have a job.

    2. Illegal aliens should be deported. Who said anything about McCain?

    3. I'll be at the Tampa show, say it to my face.

I will say that I'm keeping my "economic stimulus" refund in the bank ... because I know I'll probably have to pay it back next year in some form or another if a Dem is elected.

    I'm actually serious about that.

That maybe true but you should actually view that as a good point :
taxes + cut spending = less deficit. And honestly, right now, I'd be more concerned about loosing deficit than paying more taxes. Inflation is worse than taxes.

Please define what level of criticism do you find acceptable for a poster to stay in the category 'critical of usa politicy' and not fall into the 'america hater' category? Because my hunch is that people like you focus way too much on consistent criticism and forget where the problems really are.
