I have posted about it before - Ed's handwritten lyrics to Here's to the State from Ed's two song mini-performance at the Body of War premiere in Toronto - still haven't framed it up. Recession takes a bite out of the framing budget.

I've had this Supersonics hat that I through on stage to Ed during Porch at Summerfest in MIlwaukee back in '95.

I had 10c seats and this guy came down during Bad Religion's set and asked me to through it to Ed. I forgot about it until the end of the show. Ed was wandering around stage during Mike's solo and I tossed it up to him. He put it on for a few seconds then threw it back to me. I still have it, but it was a hat the guy had really worn out. It was falling apart and has sweat stains on it. Pathetically it was my most treasured PJ item until Ed tossed me a tamborine in Camden this year.

If the guy is on this board. I will send you the hat back. PM me with a detailed description of the hat and it's yours.

  • Ed's signature on a yellow piece of paper I ripped off of a flier at Lollapalooza 92. Eddie was having his picture taken on the back of the lawn at Waterloo in NJ, my friends and I saw what was going on and by the time I got over to where EV was a handful of others had gathered around. I managed to get him to sign the paper and get out of there in one piece. By the time I got out of the pack of people it has swelled to about 50. Ed's bodyguards cleared a path for him and he climbed up the 20 foot fence surrounding the venue and jumped over into the parking log to get away. a once in a lifetime encounter, I will always cherish it.

If you were my friend, I'd give you the ball on every play.
  • Coolest - Jeff's used pick from Brisbane 2006 show. After the show, my wife and I went down to the front to try for a setlist or pick or anything. We get ushered out and my wife looks down at one of the seats and sees a pick, yellow with two dogs on it, "Is this anything?". I had no idea and then thanks to the kind people in "the Pit", I learn it's a pick used by my man, Jeff. It now sits nestled tightly into my pickguard on my bass.

Weirdest - After seeing Brad in 2003 in Sydney, the band came out and were happy enough to sign some stuff for those who had waited around. My friend having nothing to get signed, produces a cigarette which Stone then proceeds to autograph.

I have two I'd never part with. One is a pick Ed handed to me in Winnipeg '05 and the other is a tambourine that Ed threw to us in Santa Barbara '06. :)

  • We have a shirt Stone signed outside the Vote for Choice concert in DC. It is also signed by a lot of people we met at PJ concerts over the years.
    Hold On
  • I have an official 10 club flyer that I got from the first Moore Theater show (the night Even Flow was filmed) The flyer advertises the fan club for a $2.00 joining fee. On the back it is signed by Dave A. I got to meet him after the show along with Mike Starr and Layne Staley. Its a cool peice that remindes me of a amazing night.

  • Probably the "ed" pick that Ed personally handed to me in Albuquerque 2000. Used it on Grievance, Corduroy, and Off He Goes. At the end of Off He Goes he stepped over the monitor at the edge of the stage and handed it to me.

I met Ed a couple times, in '95 and '03, but only have memories from those experiences. :) The pick is something tangible from that particular concert and front row experience.

    i have Stone's aura.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

  • I worked at a record store in NJ and PJ did an in store performance about 10 minutes before they blew up huge. The guys all signed an 8x10 promo photo to me, drew pictures on it and whatnot. I was talking to Ed at length about the upcoming tour and he was telling me about Europe, where they were going next. I had never been to Europe at the time so he promised to write me from there. I never thought he would.

Until my letters came. I have a bunch of letters he sent from the 1992 EU tour and they are my life's prized possessions. They're just brief letters on hotel notes, the really small ones. Some with small drawings or just an 'I'm here now' message. I'm still amazed he remembered every time I look at them. :)
    Why go home?

I guess this signed ticket stub would be the collectible that I have that symbolized my dedication to this band. It was the first time I had met any band member. It was totally by chance which made it so fuckin true and surreal when it happen.
I went to NF w/my 2 small children 6wks after giving birth to my 2nd daughter and going through some serious medical emotional shit.
I was rewarded for my effort by being in the right place at the right time.

What always will bug me about this autograph is that I offered Mike a ball point pen to use then smudged what Mike wrote to me before I could ever even read it.

Maybe someone out there can decipher.....

not wierd but the "circumstances" made it special.getting ed's hand written seattle 00 set list. very important as we thought ,last show ever.
vip passes are nice to look at and reflect on too.
oh and the letter that was sent to seattle area fan club members in 95 for the fan club only shows at the moore.
that was a great time indeed!
